Ruth and Lucile

Hi! We’re Lucile and Ruth 😊

We’ve been living in Newcastle for about a year and a half now and are thinking about moving to a new place around November. We’re mainly looking to find somewhere a little more affordable and, ideally, share with people who have a similar lifestyle to ours.

We’ve both lived in flatshares before and have always really enjoyed the experience. We’re pretty easy-going and social, and we’re definitely happy to share a meal, have a chat, or hang out together from time to time. At the same time, we really value having a calm and comfortable home. We’re not big party people and generally have an early-to-bed, early-to-rise kind of lifestyle because of work, study and sport. So we’d ideally like to live with people who are also respectful of quiet time and aren’t regularly having big parties or late nights at home.

We’re both very active and spend a lot of our free time outdoors — cycling, surfing (we have a couple of surfboards!), camping, hiking and generally exploring around Newcastle. We’re also quite social and enjoy meeting new people and doing things together when everyone’s up for it.

Lucile works part-time at Bunnings and will also be studying, so having a reasonably quiet space at home where I can study is important to me. Ruth works full-time at the university and occasionally travels for work for a few weeks at a time.

I speak both English and French, and we’re both pretty open-minded and used to living with people from different backgrounds.

Overall, we’re just looking for a friendly, respectful and relaxed share where everyone can have their own space but also enjoy some time together. 😊
