Hey, I’m Tahlia!
I’m heading back to finish my Diploma at TAFE Tighes Hill after taking some time away due to a family loss. I’ve had the chance to reset and now I’m ready to fully focus on my studies and settle into a stable, long-term place close to campus (at least 6 months).
I’ve been living in Maitland over the past year but am looking to move closer to town, as I don’t have a car and need to be within walking distance or easy public transport of TAFE and nearby essentials.
I currently receive Centrelink as an income and plan to pick up some part-time work once I’m settled. Due to certain circumstances (happy to explain if we move forward), I do need to be listed on the lease.
As a housemate, I’m easygoing, respectful, clean, and reliable. I’ve lived in share houses and on residential leases before, have a solid rental history, and really value a home that’s comfortable, calm, and looked after.
Outside of study, I love baking (there’s usually something sweet around), binge-watching crime shows, and reading a corny romance novel. When the weather’s nice, you’ll find me hunting down good coffee or an acai bowl. On weekends, I’m usually catching up with friends or family—sometimes with a cocktail or two involved.
I’m big on keeping a clean, cosy space and may spend way too much money on candles, so the house will always smell amazing. I get along well with people of different ages and am respectful of everyone’s routines and space.
