I'm a friendly, easy-going person who genuinely enjoys getting to know my housemates beyond the surface level. I'll always be up for a chat, a movie night, a gym session, a run, a cup of tea—whatever really! I love living in a home where people are friends, not just people sharing a house.
I value kindness, honesty and maturity, and I've had plenty of experience living in share houses. I tend to be one of the cleanest people in the houses I've lived in, but I'm definitely not a clean freak. I know everyone has busy lives, so I'm flexible, understanding and happy to communicate openly if anything comes up.
I'm looking for a home with people who enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, are happy to help each other out, and appreciate living collectively while also respecting each other's boundaries, independence and personal space. I think clear, respectful communication goes a long way in creating a happy home.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me staying active, practising yoga or meditation, cooking delicious food, salsa dancing, or catching up with friends. And of course, if we're near the beach, I'll probably be swimming or going for a walk along the coastline.
I'm currently living in Melbourne's north and really miss being close to the ocean, so I'm looking for a bit of a sea change while still being within easy reach of the city. I work full-time as a sustainability consultant in the CBD and split my week between working from home and the office.
I'm happy to move into an established share house or find a new place together. I also have some furniture to contribute, including couches, rugs and coffee tables.
Ideally, I'd love to live with women around my age. It would be a huge bonus to live with Latin American Spanish speakers, as I spent several years living in Colombia and would love to keep practising my Spanish at home.
Location-wise, I'm only looking for places within about a 10-minute walk of both the beach and a train station. I'd also prefer somewhere far enough from Nepean Highway that traffic noise isn't part of everyday life.
I'm hoping to find a house with people who are house-proud and enjoy creating a warm, cosy home that's nice to spend time in. I'm definitely past the student-house stage of mismatched Kmart furniture and freezing through winter because no one wants to turn the heater on!
I'm vegetarian/pescatarian and try to live as sustainably as I can. I do my best with recycling, FOGO, soft plastics and generally being mindful of my environmental impact, so it would be great to live with people who also care about putting the right thing in the right bin. It's definitely not about being perfect—just making an effort!
One final thing—there's a good chance I'll head back to Colombia for a month or two each year, so I'd love to live with people who'd be comfortable with me subletting my room while I'm away.
Also if you have a dog I would love that!!
