My name is Angel, and I am a transgender woman who has faced unimaginable persecution and hardship in Indonesia. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have been subjected to discrimination, violence, and marginalization, which has taken a profound toll on my mental and emotional well-being. Despite these challenges, I have always been determined to build a better life for myself.
In my previous life, I had a successful career as a flight attendant with Jetstar, where I was able to travel the world and meet people from diverse backgrounds. However, due to the persecution I faced in Indonesia, I was forced to seek asylum in Australia. Unfortunately, my journey was marked by detention, which further exacerbated my trauma and PTSD.
I am grateful to now hold a permanent visa, which has provided me with a sense of security and stability. However, I still face significant challenges in rebuilding my life. As a survivor of trauma, I require ongoing support to manage my PTSD and navigate the complexities of daily life. I am committed to my recovery and have established a professional support system to help me cope with my experiences.
Despite the difficulties I have faced, I am eager to contribute to the Australian community and make a positive impact. I am passionate about building a new life, free from persecution and fear, where I can thrive and reach my full potential. I am seeking support to ensure my safety and facilitate my employment, which would enable me to become a productive member of society.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to those who have supported me thus far. Your kindness, understanding, and compassion have been a beacon of hope in my journey. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and creating a brighter future for myself.
Thank you for considering my situation. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my needs and aspirations further.
Sincerely,
Angel
