Hi,
My name is Farah. I’m 40, from Indonesia, and will soon begin my Master of Education at Monash University (Clayton campus). But I will be in Monash College Docklands from 6 June to 10 July 2026.
I currently work as a Social Studies and Theory of Knowledge teacher, so I’m used to reflective conversations, balanced reasoning, and creating a calm, respectful atmosphere. People often describe me as thoughtful, reliable, and very easy to live with.
As a practicing Muslim, I value cleanliness, order, and shared spaces that feel comfortable for everyone.
I’m independent with my meals, utensils, and routines. I don’t drink, but I’m completely fine living with housemates who enjoy wine or alcohol to unwind. I’ve even been told I’m a great caretaker when someone has had a bit too much :D
Some days I prefer quiet time. On other days, I enjoy visiting places like markets or museums, planning outdoor picnics, cooking and baking, doing calm exercises like yoga or stretching, or having a meaningful conversation about culture, learning, or human behaviour.
I keep my opinions to myself and never expect others to adjust their lifestyle to mine. I also appreciate personal space and fully respect boundaries.
I’ve lived abroad in Yangon from 2014 to 2018, and shared a home with a roommate and her cat, so I’m experienced with co-living and maintaining harmony in shared spaces.
I think your place is a great fit for me during this transition time, considering it is 40 minutes away from Monash College by public transportation. I am sincerely hoping to hear from you.
Regards,
Farah
