Emily and Elliot

Hi! We’re Emily (26) from the UK and Elliot (24) from the US - a friendly couple currently living in Cairns on working holiday visas.

I work at the RSPCA in Cairns, and Elliot is in the interview process for the tourism industry. We’re both quite social and love meeting new people from all over the world, but we also really value our downtime and quiet moments to recharge.

We love spending time outdoors, volunteering, playing games, getting creative with crafts, and trying new things. In our past houses, we’ve really enjoyed having game nights, movie nights, and even the occasional PowerPoint night with our housemates. We would be more than keen to do that again if others are up for it. I also really enjoy baking and am always happy to share the treats - there’s usually something sweet on the go!

We’re clean, tidy, and respectful housemates, especially when it comes to shared spaces. We’re very used to living with others thanks to university/college and our previous work experience, so we understand the importance of communication, consideration, and a positive household vibe.

We are looking for a place in Cairns for at least 3 months, but would absolutely love to stay longer if it’s a good fit. Ideally, we’re hoping to find a home that’s friendly, relaxed, and feels comfortable for everyone.
