Isabel and Lachie

Hello! We’re Isabel and Lachie, a warm and vibrant young couple who moved up to the Gong last year from Tassie. We’ve kept the place we’ve been renting here in such good nick that the landlord has decided to sell it in late April - so we’re looking to set up shop somewhere new if you’ll have us :)

We both work full time at the Wollongong Hospital as junior doctors, and so will often be leaving early morning and getting in late. When we’re not working or sleeping, we’re both pretty big on the outdoors, so spend a healthy dose of time out in the bush, ocean and beyond - we love camping, hiking, swimming, and have a kayak down at the foreshore. At home we love a good cook up or a movie/ games night.

We’re hoping to add to a cozy household. These days we’re not huge party people, but can always go for a good yarn and chill hangs.

Isabel has plenty of experience in share houses since 2020, and Lachie has been living in rentals since 2017. We’re happy to share a room together if there’s space or split between 2 rooms if that works better for you.

In terms of move-in date, the deadline to vacate our current property is the end of April, but we're keen to move out earlier if the right place comes up - so we're super flexible. We'd be looking to stay until Oct/Nov.
