Hi, I'm James 39 years old from the UK and I am currently looking for an apartment or room to rent. I arrived in Adelaide on the April 21st. This was my first day of my new life in Australia to begin my 190 visa. I have permanent residency which mean I am looking for long term residence ideally in a solo apartment/house. I am open to shared accommodation to get me on my feet over a minimum of a 6 month stay.
I do not have a job set as I have made myself financially comfortable saving before I arrived this may be my proof of being financially stable to cover rental and bonds . Though I am and will be job searching to secure work not long after landing in Adelaide. I will be enjoying some time to just settle in before I do commit to a start date for work.
I don't spend much time indoor back home and with the outdoor life of Adelaide being amazing you will find me often out early and out most the day.
Im a very tidy living non smoker light drinker but certainly not here to party. I have a lot of respect for other people homes and personal space and believe that these simple things should be a standard way of living especially if you live with multiple people. I enjoy home cooking and would always be happy to cook for others. I have a wide range of hobbies: mountain biking (trail rides to jumping trails). Road cycling, bmx, Golf and follow most 2 wheel motor sports so if anyone were to be into the same hobbies it would also be great to find new people to ride or play a round or 2 of golf. I also have a few trips away planned so there will be times i am away from the houses for a weekends or a week.
I am currently staying in an air bnb in the Glenelg area for a few weeks i may extend this but ideally a place more permanent would be idea as I need to a registered address to rego a car and transfer my UK driving license to an Australian license.
I have a Australian bank account now and proof of savings and can discuss a deal to secure a place so both parties are satisfied. please feel free to contact me directly via my mobile.
Im looking to spend no more than 300 a week for rental to begin with but the right place could sway that.
