About Me / Introduce Yourself
Hi there! I’m Iván, a 28-year-old PhD student in Medical Sciences moving from Buenos Aires to Brisbane for a 3-month research stay at the Queensland Brain Institute (UQ). I’m a responsible, clean, and very easygoing professional. I lead a healthy lifestyle: I’m a non-smoker, a non-drinker, and I love staying active, exercising, and going for runs.
During the weekdays, I’ll be spending most of my time at the lab, so I maintain a pretty structured, quiet, and predictable routine.
What makes you great to live with?
I have plenty of experience sharing apartments and coordinating events for international students, so I deeply understand how to maintain a harmonious, respectful, and tidy home. I’m highly organized, mindful of personal boundaries, and I always make sure common areas and the kitchen are kept spotless.
In my free time, I love going for long walks to explore new places and get to know the city. I’m always up for a friendly chat or sharing a meal after a long day, but I also completely respect everyone's need for quiet time and privacy.
As a huge plus, I absolutely love cooking! I enjoy preparing traditional Argentine and Venezuelan food—like empanadas and arepas—and I’m always happy to share a good homemade meal with my flatmates.
