Hello there! Here are a few quick points about me: • I will be working at the University of Queensland as a researcher/postdoc. • I work about 6 days a week • I have lived in shared houses most of my life in both the UK and Germany • Not much of a party animal, more into good wine, good food and an interesting conversation • I am an excellent cook with a repertoire that has been tried and tested succesfully in countless dinner dates over the years. • In terms of hobbies: I love chess and cycling and I plan to start going to the gym in a bit more regular basis. I also enjoy dancing and I have taken classes in salsa and hip hop over the years. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What I am looking for: • Shared accommodation with one-two more people. • a neat tidy and organized property. • I would prefer to live in a non-smoking property, as it would help with my efforts of quitting smoking. • I love animals, so living with pets is not an issue. • My ideal flatmates would be the kind of people that I could share a glass of wine with, would be easy going, tidy and have sense of humor. • I am looking for a place I can call home, and ideally would like to stay there for up to 4,5 years. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I am currently in the UK, I will be looking for a videocall inspection so I can get a feeling for the property and we can see if we feel we would be a good fit. Thanks for taking the time to read my ad!
Hello! I'm a French girl and I will go to the UQ for 4 months (May to August 2019). I will be there all week and if it's possible I would like to discover more the weekend! I'm great to live with, I like when it's clean, organized. I don't think that I have a very good English but I will be happy to discuss with you, but I also enjoy my own space. Ideally, I would like to go to the UQ by walking, but I know that it's difficult to find something perfect. I'm currently at home (Reunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean), so it's complicated for me to find a home from a distance. At the moment I'm mainly looking for ads that interest me and I hope to visit them when I arrive in Australia. I'm looking for a room to rent homestay or in the best case a roommate (exclusively with girls)! My budget could be revised upwards if I consider it a good deal! I hope I have given you as much information as possible. So to summarize: - the closest to the UQ to avoid spending on public transportation - room to rent or roommate with girls - in my budget These are the three most important points for me!
I am a clean, positive, open minded and fun individual. I am hoping to be apart of a friendly and open home environment where I can respect the space of others and also enjoy conversations with my fellow flatmates. I enjoy playing the guitar, preparing good food and talking about the day with a good dose of humour. I especially love pets and outdoor spaces. I will be arriving back from exchange in Amsterdam and will be looking for a comfortable and friendly place to live whilst undertaking my Honours thesis in Environmental Science at UQ. *Additional note: in the case that 2 rooms are available, I have a twin sister who would be open to taking an additional room where possible! :)
A little about me... I am clean and tidy, social, easy to get along with and live with my big fluffy dog, Wilbur! (If you'd like to see a picture just ask - he is a big, extremely adorable, kind samoyed). We are specifically looking for a place with a backyard that is fully enclosed/fenced in so that he can't escape and go exploring (which he loves to do!). I will need my own bathroom. I clean up after myself so will need to live with like minded people :) I work in Eagle Farm and am flexible with where I live as long as its not more than 30 mins from work by car. I currently own my own house and work full time. Love to go to the beach and go for hikes on the weekend. Gym after work during the week and I am also very much in to horse racing/trading so usually head to the races on Saturday. Please send me a msg if you have something that suits, thanks!
I am an always smiling talkative Dane, who likes to have chats while drinking strong coffee. I'm studying my master in Clinical Exercise Physiology at UQ and working in the same department. I enjoy being cosy and embracing the danish term "hygge" (look it up!), so you'll definitely see me around cooking something cosy, baking or lighting a candle. I have found that West End is a great place for me to feel like home - so I would prefer to stay here (where I have been living the past 7 months - but the lease is up..). I would also prefer to live with people, that I can have lovely mateship with and potentially cook with or for ;-) I like to live in a tidy house, so I promise not to leave the dishes behind! I dont smoke, but I do like to have a beer every now and then ;-) I have one year left of my degree before heading back north, so I am looking for something for the next 6-12 months (I'm possibly going away for placement from july. Cheers!
Hi, I'm Bec! I'm a freelance editor (I work from home) in my honours year of a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours) at UQ. I like to read and write! I'm looking for a place that has A/C and ideally a dishwasher (but I'm flexible on that). I have mobility issues due to chronic illness, so am avoiding internal stairs (external okay!).
I work part time in the legal industry, and study at the same time. I am generally quite social, but do like to be alone at times as well. I am quite active and like most sports. I am also a big animal lover, however I don't have any pets of my own. Ideally I would like to be in a social place, but one that respects privacy and doesn't get too rowdy. Anything that has air-conditioning, a balcony or a pool gets bonus points.
Clean, quiet and friendly. Busy shift worker during the uni semester, I am looking for others who also are studying at university. I will happily make you soup if you are sick.
hey! my name is amelia, i'm a 19 year old girl who just finished my first year studying environmental management at UQ. I'm originally from melbourne but lived in cairns for two years before moving to brisbane to study :)) i'm currently staying with friends but would like to move out sometime in the next few weeks. my best friend Teia was previously studying biomed at griffith and has now moved to UQ to study nutrition. we would prefer a lease length of 5-6 months! we have both been described as really happy and outgoing people who can get along with pretty much anyone! some loves of mine: animals, music (of many different genres), singing (will try to keep it to a minimum!!), having a laff or a chat, funky socks, reading, writing, sniffing flowers, sipping on tea (or chugging when it goes cold), going for a run sometimes or the odd night out. teia is vegan, adores animals, music (especially tyler the creator), arts and crafts, health and is maybe the funkiest sweetheart in brisbane. we both work hard and play hard hahahaha. if we sound like your kinda gals and you'd like to meet up to see how we get along, hit me up!!
I'm very respectful and will always give a helping hand around the house! I love to cook and always happy to share. I'm a very friendly and understanding person so you can always approach me about anything. Rent and bills are my first priority financially and I always ensure they are paid on time :)
Hello. I'm Ralph, 29, ESL (English as a Second Language) High School teacher and self proclaimed History buff. I have a background in English Literature. I am coming to Brisbane from Lebanon for an MS in Communication. I am hoping for a career shift from teaching to working in copywriting or product journalism, hence the new degree. I am a clean and tidy individual who enjoys a certain set routine in my everyday life. I am no longer a youngster looking for "an amazing adventure" abroad or "an unforgettable experience" as an international student. I'm almost 30, big on the outdoors, rather reserved, but quite social when I have to be. Looking for a professional(s) with a similar outlook. I have no problem with people from all walks of life, love pets and would like to help or contribute in my new home in any way possible. Not a big drinker, social or otherwise, but I will share a beer and a nice chat from time to time. I'm easygoing and flexible when it comes to other people's preferences and I usually have good advice about what book to read next.
Hey, my names Jenni. I’m a second year wildlife student studying partly external at the University of Queensland Gatton campus. I’m looking for accomodation in Brisbane, close to the UQ St Lucia campus. Pretty flexible with what I’m looking for except I do have pets and they will be moving with me. I have two pet rats and a budgie however they will stay in my room so if anyone in the house has a problem, it won’t be an issue. I’m clean and very respectful of space. I’m pretty shy but I tend to get along with most people. I will be leaving my job when I move to Brisbane but will be looking for a part-time job ASAP. All round easy going person so feel free to send me a message. :)
Brock (20), Chelsea (20) and I (Hannah, 19) are all uni students looking to team up with a few other girls/ guys to make a house of 4-5. Chelsea and I are both studying at UQ and Brock is working full time in construction whilst completing his Cert 3. We're all very relaxed people, are easy to get along with and always down for a chat. We're looking for likeminded people who are social and down for a laugh over a few casual drinks at the end of the day but are also respectful of personal space and happy to contribute to keeping a clean house. We're wanting to move in ideally mid Feb. Preferably want to be in the Indooroopilly, Toowong, etc. or Woolloongabba, Dutton Park area (most likely) but again are open about it. We look forward to hearing from you, let us know what you think/ if you have any questions. Cheers, Brock, Hannah and Chelsea
I'm easy going and enjoy having a bit of fun as long as it's not going to disrupt the environment around me. I am a third year uni student studying environmental science really interested in Wildlife Conservation particular with Birds and also love travelling and music.
In February I'll be moving back to Brisbane from Darwin, and starting a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at UQ. I love animals so would be completely open to an animal friendly household. I have a 6 yr old kelpie x border collie who is an absolute sweetheart and I'm hoping to bring her with me wherever I end up living. I am hoping to find a place somewhere either not to far from UQ's Gatton campus or near Indooroopilly so I am able to catch the free coach to uni. I'm looking for social and friendly housemates, and happy to live with other students or young adult professionals. It's important to me to find a household where I can can make some good friends as i'll be making Brisbane my home for at least the next 5 years! I'm pretty chilled out, happy to have a chat over some drinks or head out on adventures on the weekend. I tend to keep my space clean and have lived in share houses before so know what to expect when it comes to communal living.
Hi, I’m Ahmad a teacher from Saudi Arabia. I’ll be in Brisbane in March to start training program for one year in QU that is provided from the Ministry of Education SA. I’m looking for modern and furnished apartment in a friendly environment around the City ( 9 months or more ). I’m easy going, friendly and organized. I like to keep the place clean and I can help around the house. I respect others privacy and space. I would like to explore around the city and I’m planning to visit Gold Coast and Bali. I don’t mind to hang out wherever ( trying new restaurants, cafes, attend events, camping, hiking ..) or travel during the weekends and holidays as I don’t have friends in Brisbane. I hope to find social, honest, respectful and clean roommate ( male or female) to share good times with. Rent and bills will be on time. 300 to 400 max Fell free to ask or contact
I am resuming a job at UQ and looking for a nice room exclusively in Toowong or St Lucia. I have rented in Brisbane for 9 years with great experiences with landlords, housemates, and agents. I am respectful, tidy and organised; never had one bill overdue. Always get along with housemates and maintain a happy share household.

Hi my name is James Fraser, I am a student at UQ. I like the house clean so I will definitely maintain perfect standards around my living area and when possible help with others. Due to a large study load I will stay out of your hair, however I am very social and easy to talk to.
I am easy, outgoing, friendly and very responsible of my tasks around the house. I am looking for accommodation (single room preferably) rather close to the university. I am very flexible, and I can even live with Vegans and Vegetarians, and have no problems with noise at night. Currently I am studying Chemical and Food Engineering, at the University of Queensland, and I am about to start my second year in the upcoming month.
Hi there! I'm Joanne. I've been working in Singapore for the past 2 years and I am moving to Brisbane to take my masters. I love the outdoors and spend most of my free time reading, netflix and doing sports - running, hiking or at the pool/beach! (Love the beach and ocean) Would love to learn surfing at some point! Spent the last couple of months travelling South East Asia(Vietnam, Indonesia(basically fell in love with the place!), cambodia) and had such an amazing time! I'm easy going/relaxed, enjoy hanging with friends and meeting people from all over the world :) I’d love to find a place with people who can be housemates as well as friends. Let me know if i would be a good fit :)
