I'm a softy at heart, have been sharing and touring for 20+ years, been a drummer most of my life but now returning to Uni in brissy to study science. Will stay a night or two in bris sometimes, and often in Mullum/Byron so I'm looking for a ZEN DEN in NATURE to be my base. I see myself living in an environment that feels like I'm in nature, with space, light, fresh air, birds, frogs, hopefully dogs, an outside-in feel, and people who care about the energy of the house, the world, community and creativity. I am open to coming to the area any time between mid to late feb, and think 3 months might be a minimum with a view to live there while I do my undergrad (3 - 4 years) I have been based in the same house in Bondi, NSW for the last 12 years. I enjoy cooking, like to garden, love animals, do a spot of yoga, am well-travelled, holistic and diverse in my world-views. Naturally introverted, though known for a big personality when the occasion calls for it! I ultimately hope to share a peaceful, clean and natural environment, with gentle souls. I enjoy a great chat, very caring, and thoughtful. I also enjoy my own company, and will be resting, re-charging, studying, reading, writing a lot when home. oh, and did I say cooking? Yes, LOVE to cook for others ...
Hey, I'm a first year at UQ studying international studies, majoring in indo and econ. Im half indo, half aussie. Dont really have any hobbies i just like to chill by listening to music, watching netflix, reading etc. I like to think im friendly, love a good chat sometimes but do value alone time. Looking for a cheap place to stay whilst i study away from home for my course. Looking forward to meeting new people :D
I'm clean, friendly and love making new friends, but I also enjoy some alone time as well. I'm currently studying Justice/Psych at QUT.
Hello! My name is Toyo. I'm a Japanese international student studying at QUT. I am 35 years old, but most of my friends tell me 'you look around 26-27 years old! I'm currently looking for a sharehouse with good access to QUT and Southbank, which costs around 160 - 165 per week. This is because I go to the uni but also will join rehearsals of a choir (Brisbane chorale) at the south bank every Wednesday. Brief introduction: I am from one of the suburbs (Hino-shi) in Tokyo. Although I had worked as a system engineer at a Japanese company (Fujifilm) for 5 years in Japan, to develop business and language skills, I study abroad at UQ in Australia from 2014 to 2015. To reach the next goal in my career, I have just come back to Brisbane this year and started my PhD program (advertising) at QUT. My hobby is singing, especially classical singing (e.g., opera arias, Italian cultural songs). I was a choir member of Brisbane Chorale between 2014 and 2015, and I will join the choir later on. :) . I also like some pops songs like Billy Joel, Eagles, Elton John etc. I believe that I am responsible and not like a typical shy Japanese guy. I like to be socialised with people (but not too much haha) Thank you for reading this text by the end. ;) Looking forward to receiving your message. Best regards, Toyo
Hiya! I'm a Scottish -Spanish international student at Queensland University doing my BSc in Marine Biology. I am looking for a place to rent for the academic year and nice people to hang out and chill with at home with. I love the Ocean and everything about it! I usually work in my spare time, but I'm looking forward to exploring Australia! I currently work in a snowboard shop fixing skiis and boards (so I might need to change profession!). I'm a qualified dive guide and would love to share what I know about the underwater world with anyone willing to learn:) Just an all round happy person with lots of curiosity!
I'm a quiet person but do enjoy being surrounded by positive, happy people. I am very clean/neat and like to cook, go to the gym, read, and listen to music. I am studying Psychological Science at UQ and work weekends as a barista. I am very serious about my study and as such I like the places I live to be peaceful and relaxing.
I'm fairly easy going, I look after myself and I'm always willing to help others. I mostly keep to myself and play video games, go to the gym, eat, and work (Rinse and repeat, that's me) I love a good drink or two and I most of the time I'm happy to chat away :) (P.S. I'm on the right of my photo)
Hi, I'm Bec! I'm a freelance editor (I work from home) in my honours year of psyc at UQ. I volunteer as the treasurer for a student society and as an LGBT peer support counsellor. I’m often home, but am usually working at home. I mostly keep to myself but am happy to be friends and have a chat! I have mobility issues due to chronic illness, so am avoiding internal stairs. I’m medically heat intolerant (nightmarish) so would love somewhere with good airflow/air con/etc. I also have plant children. I love them, even though they don't love me rn. I'd ideally only like to live with one other person (or a granny flat/studio), a female if poss. Also, I spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and talk about her lots. I flag that I’m queer bc it makes it easier for someone to just move past my listing if need be. So. That’s me!
I currently work at UQ and Indooroopilly shopping centre both part time, I enjoy getting out and about during my days off preferably to the beach or out for a hike. I'm looking for a roommate or two that enjoy dinners and tv nights together to give the place a really homly vibe but I am also respectful of quiet time to ourselves. My current lease end around mid-May but I can be flexible with this for the right people/location. I have some living room and kitchen furniture currently but am happy to invest in whatever is still required.
Hi there. I'm interested in moving in to a house with a like-minded, responsible yet fun group of people. I'm a UQ student who spends quite a bit of time studying (Econ/Finance) but also like to have downtime with some bevs. I also have a steady casual job as an admin assistant at UQ, which covers for my expenses. I grew up in Brisbane since I was little and I'm of Korean descent but I promise I won't stink up the fridge with my mum's kimchi. Give me a holla if you like what you hear :-)
I’m brazilian and will be studying a master at UQ for 2 years. Back home I graduated as an industrial engineer and worked for about 2 years after grad. Then I decided to get myself over here. I’ve lived in Australia in 2010 as a rotary exchange student and loved it. Indeed, here I am again. I did year 11 in Batlow, NSW. I like to play tennis, love road-trips and motorbikes and plan to run my first half-marathon this year. On top of that I'm going to be working and studying, so things should be busy! When I can, I love having a beer and going out. I'm very easy to deal with... I've lived in different sharehouses and always got along pretty well. This time I'm looking for something a little more orderly to make the day-to-day easier. At the same time with a nice good mood to do things together sometimes. Hope to hear from you, cheers!
Hi! I am looking for a home in Brisbane to move into as soon as possible as I begin my dual degree of psychology and nutrition at UQ. Looking for a place that feels homey with housemates I'd call a friend. Let me know if you match the features I'm after 😊: • Walking, biking or under 30min public transport distance to UQ in St Lucia • With a large size room with lots of natural light, at least big enough for a double bed, bedside table, large desk, mirror, a few wardrobes and drawers. • With outdoor area/s like a yard, deck or spot that gets a decent amount of direct sun throughout the day. • Not lots of road noise • Decently spacious kitchen (to make you cake on your birthday 😉) About me: I'm positive and ambitious, and both a respectful and open person :) I'm very health conscious and make all my own meals which are wholefood plant-based- however I'm really not fussed on what anyone else eats. I love cooking for others 😁💖 I do aerial acrobatics and yoga, love nature and making friends. I'm passionate about eco-sustainability, nutrition, fitness, mental wellness and personal development. 😊😄😁💪🏼💗
Hi, we´re a young couple from Germany studying and working in Brisbane for half a year. We love food, sports and enjoy nature and a good conversation. We´re looking for a shared flat / house with nice flatmates. We´re excited to meet new people and make new friends. Thanks!
Howdy! Looking for a joint within half an hour's transport/ride from UQ. I'm looking for a friendly place where people aren't in their rooms all day and are happy to have a chat! Also where people feel comfortable bringing around their friends, having a few mates over on the weekend for some bevvies and having a chat with other people's friends, as long as people aren't in and out the door all day every day and are respectful when others want to sleep :) I work 3 jobs and am studying Economics/Arts at uni (hooiips of fun), so I'm away during most days, only really home at night time and on weekends. I'm a musician (guitar and vocals) so love a good kumbaya and practice generally a few hours every couple of days, but I'm respectful when others have to sleep. Flexible move out date because I'm currently at home, but happy to move out ASAP :)
Hey potential house-mates and landlords! . I'm looking for a room with a decent amount of space, 4*4 ish (bigger the better), as I don't like living in small rooms and have plenty of things to fill a room with. My ideal place has plenty of grass and trees, high ceilings, a cat or three, a nice view and a happy medium of being in an accessible area and still quite peaceful (not super keen on living on main roads). A casual social environment in the home is also preferred. I would also like to be able to set up my drumkit and other instruments such a harp, guitar, didgeridoo...(weather that be in a my larger room or a garage or similar... and be able to practice a few times a week for an hour or so in the middle of the day/afternoon. I'm generally very considerate with noise and understand that not everyone is keen on being around drumming etc. . I'm Keen on cleaning up after myself, especially in the kitchen/bathroom and communal areas. I like to keep fit and healthy and spend at least monday and wednesday nights out exercising. Into explore nature, doing some photography, dancing, ice skating etc... . I co-facilitate Yin Yoga Sound Healing workshops, do some busking when i'm feeling it, and have some super flexible casual work getting clients for a photographer... amongst a couple of other projects. I'm also studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology part time at UQ, so transport options are going to play an important part in where i want to live. . Feel free to get in touch if you'd like show me what you got, cheers.
I'm glad to meet new friends from different nationality, I wish I could be friends with my roommates, go out and chill out, but still have private space. probably my first impression may be a little introvert, but you'll find my sense of humor once you have lived with me for a while. btw, i’m A student of UQ, I wanna find a room that is closed to UQ
I'm a student doing my honour year of psychology at UQ, love to have a beer and play poker. Spent almost every holiday travelling to different places, hiking or camping, do some rock climbings occasionally. Quite easy going and would love a clean flatmate who would tidy up afterwards.
