Hi my name is Steph, I will be a full time student at UQ, I'm studying a Bachelor of Biotechnology. I was hoping to make a good friend to move in with, some one who i get along well with who is clean, and easy going and most importantly someone to have some fun with. I was hoping to move around Mid January, but I'm flexible on dates. If any one is interested hit me up :) I was looking at a 2 or 3 bedroom home around St lucia.
Hi! I'm Victoria, and I'm going to be a medical student at the University of Queensland this year. I'm from New York, and I love running, reading, and watching Netflix. I'm more on the quiet side and I'm looking for a place with friendly people, but that is also quiet enough for me to be able to study. I'm very neat and organized, and I always clean up after myself. Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks for your time!
I'm a 23 year old recent UQ graduate. I'm moving from the Gold Coast to Brisbane and hoping to live with people my age who will hopefully become good friends as I don't know too many people in Brisbane. I'm neat, tidy and considerate. I'm not much of a partier but enjoy the odd drink and social event!
Hi! My name is Rosie, I'm 21 and I am moving to Brisbane in January 2017 to start studying for a Bachelor of Design. I have been working in a high school Art Department in my hometown (Hobart) for the past 2 years, it was awesome fun but I am keen to experience uni life! I am great to live with because: I always pay my rent/bills on time, I clean up after myself and love being around people but am also fine doing my own thing In my free time I love drawing and making little arty things, relaxing in general, watching Netflix and going to the gym. I'm always up for a chat and love hanging out, but will also need some space to study :) I also love Harry Potter, cats, dogs and most nerdy things
Hi, my names Jessie. I'm a really easy going 19 year old girl. I am clean, tidy and respectful, looking for someone alike to live with. I'm moving to Brisbane to study so would love to get a room where I can do my own thing but also hang out from time to time. Would love for the people I move in with to become friends, not just roommates. Send me a message on here if you're interested in finding out more about me/look for a place together.
Hey! Firstly, I'm not needing to move until January. I currently work fulltime at Mount Coot-tha and I've been living in Taringa for the past 3 years. I enjoy eating out, going out, having a drink after work, music festivals and going for runs along the river - or just staying in and binge watching netflix. I'd need to move early January, ideally looking to stay around Toowong/Taringa (train line / bus line) - but pretty flexible. I have my own communal appliances and furniture to bring with me if needed. Shoot me a message if you would be interested in starting a new place or if you need a spot filled and we can grab a coffee - Thanks!
Student looking for a quiet place. Good at: paying bills on time, cleaning up after myself, budgeting. Likes: Cats, dogs, exercising, archery, food, games, sleep. Can at maximum pay up to 150 pw rent but would prefer staying under that (wouldn't we all?) Note: Current lease runs out 6/1/17 and I am going to UQ @ St. Lucia.
Howdy. I'm a third-year student studying a BA (writing ext. major) at UQ. I work for the student mag. I'm an avid reader and wordsmith, I publish zines and comics, and I volunteer for community groups as well as organise events. Things to consider: I'm busy. I'm looking for a quiet household where housemates chill at home and go out to party. I need need need housemates who are comfortable chilling out in communal spaces, but understand when housemates want to be alone (in their room). I value a healthy level of tidiness that isn't casual grubbiness or enforced cleanliness (adults shouldn't need chore rosters). I love vegetarian and vegan food, and eat minimal amounts of meat. I do not share food due to negative experiences. Important: - I'M LOOKING FOR HOUSES ONLY. I have furniture: bookcase, cabinet, desk, drawer, couch I sleep on (would like to buy proper bed), side table, 2x coffee tables, 5x odd table chairs. I'll require storage space if there's no room for it in the house. - I AM ALLERGIC TO CATS AND DOGS. For the love of god don't waste our time if you have cats or dogs around.
Well hi there! I am looking for one roommate or a place with one roommate around or close to UQ. I am a busy person whos hardly home due to work and uni but when i am i am friendly and love to binge watch all the tv. I'm an avid gym member and runner, though time limits that, and i love to cook, but my job causes me to hardly be home during dinner. I am a waitress, babysitter and full time uni student looking for someone CLEAN as i have had negative previous roommates. I am not by any means a neat freak, but a hygienic environment is required. If you like mug brownies/cakes you will love my endless supply of flavours.
I'm an international full-time student from Dubai starting at UQ in Semester 1, 2017 (Environmental Management). I was studying in the US (Chicago) before. I'm super tidy and clean (like keeping everything super clean but won't mind if it's not), and pretty decent at cooking too. Easy going, and always ready to help a friend. I am always respectful towards everyone and will give you your privacy. Doesn't mean I don't like to chill out and have fun. I love going out and playing sports. I play football (Soccer), badminton and Quidditch (no, i'm not kidding, it's a pretty physical sport!), and good at picking up other ones too. Love spontaneous adventures and ready to walk/hike any and everywhere. I'll be new to the city and the country, so I would like to explore a lot during the weekends provided I have the time. Always down to watch a movie or tv show. Join me for small adventures if you want! :D I don't mind living with anyone, so if you have a room to offer or are looking to team up, Hit me up! :) (That was two too many "up's") PS - The closer it is to the university the better it would be.
I'm a 22 years old Belgian student currently working on a thesis in organic chemistry.I will be studying at UQ from February till June/July. I like to go out and meet new people. I play hockey and I like to go running. I'm looking for a room in a shared house preferably, not a shared room.
Hey I'm Ella, I'm currently 18 years old, studying full time (IT) and working part-time/casual (Boost Juice) I'm super friendly but overall pretty quiet. I'm up for anything and love helping others. I am very tidy and respectful. I love animals, health, computers and having fun! I currently live with my 2 aunties and only just moved to Brisbane in July.
At this time I have found a place. I am just sorting out details. I'm a quiet person who likes puzzles, reading and studying. I'm a huge pop culture nerd. I am a person who loves to hang out with friends and I make friends quickly so feel free to hang out with me or if you are a person who likes company (parties or chill outs) I'm cool. I'm a full time student and a part-time nanny.
Hello! My name is Alex. I am a young professional from Edinburgh, Scotland. I am an outgoing person who enjoys sport, travelling and cooking. I am looking for a long-term flatshare or houseshare arrangement within travelling distance of the CBD and my office in Milton.
Hi everyone! I will be starting full time work at Brisbane from the February and I'm looking to find a place close to the CBD (not apartments due to my vehicle) and preferably with my own bathroom/ensuite. I am a super laidback person, I enjoy my own private times but also love to work out, cook myself a balanced meal, super keen on being clean and some level of tidiness, love to listen to music and just having a good time in general.
Hi guys, I am Veronica, a 22 years old geosciences student from Munich. I will arrive in Brisbane on Feb 17th to start my semester abroad at University of Queensland. I would love to share an accommodation with open-minded and active people who are ready to explore Brisbane and its surroundings with me. On the other hand I respect peoples space and think everyone sometimes need his/her free time. I am a clean and tidy person and I love traveling, doing all kinds of sports (track and field, hiking, climbing, inline skating....), exploring other places and cultures, meeting new people and having interesting conversations!! :) If you are looking for a nice, respectful and talkative roommate, please text me!! :)))
I'm a physiotherapy student at UQ, looking to find a place to rent for 12 months while I'm on placement. I love cooking, wine/cocktails, going to the markets and keeping active outdoors.
Hello! My name is Maurice. I am a 42 year old professional (software engineer and business owner), looking for share accommodation either close to the city, or on the southside (near Sunnybank/Eight Mile Plains). I am quiet, tidy, and very respectful of other people's ways. I do like to socialise, and I'm always up for a meal and a chat if you want. At times, though, I can be quite busy (with work and family). If you're looking for someone to party with every night, I am not the person for you. I am a light social drinker, have never done drugs, and I am looking for a house that is completely smoke free. I try to live a healthy lifestyle (I do ashtanga yoga twice a week), and I'm a bit of a foodie (I'll be bring a sous vide machine with me). Having said that, I currently live near Sunnybank and there's a lot of great restaurants around here!
Hi I'm Bryce, I'm a 29 year old Australian guy originally from near the Sunshine Coast, my gf Karli is Canadian (Alberta) on a work visa here and I have close American friend John (Colorado) who is arriving in January on a work visa. We are currently looking for 2/3 bedroom house or unit to move into around the beginning of February. Not opposed to moving into a place with another person to make it 4 people, within reason (i.e. relatively large place). I work in the oil & gas/mining exploration industry, and I also have a small scale GIS business on the side when I'm not working away in the field. Karli is finishing a Masters in Communication/PR at uni and has been working as a bar tender, and John has just finished 8 months working at a research station down in Antartica and will most likely be working for the exploration company I work for early next year. We are all fairly well travelled and love to have a chat! If your place sounds like a perfect place for us to move into and around the time we are looking at, please hit me up!
Hi, my name is Dalia. I'm moving from the Sunny Coast to study biomed at UQ in 2017. I'm looking to share a two or three bedroom apartment with someone (relatively) near the university. I'm a little young, since I'll be turning 17 in June 2017. My move date is pretty flexible.
I am really easygoing, happy to do my own thing but also friendly. I have been working overseas as a live-in nanny for two years so I'm used to being tidy and respectful of someone else's home. I love to travel, meet new people, watch musicals and go running. I will be commencing study in 2017, but would like to move to Brisbane before the new year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I'm looking forward to meeting my new housemates :)
Undergraduate studying in UQ and looking for a place near the university. I am a friendly person and understand the need of having personal space. However, I am also willing to make new friends and get to know different people throughout my stay in Brisbane.
I'm looking for a nice single room in a clean, beautiful and shared house where I can meet some great people and call the house my home :) I'm 26-year-old Polish, work full-time as a development engineer in CBD and go to the gym 4/5 times a week. I'm all into sport, recently started to surf. I do my dishes always immediately and require it from you as well :) Hope to find a great place! ;) Cheers, Krystian
I'm a 21 year old qualified Graphic Designer, studying another degree at UQ. I am bubbly, out-going and always keen on adventures. I'm in love with photography and all things creative and absolutely love my wildlife, so hopefully you don't mind me bringing some plants and an abundance of art supplies. Looking for a place in January to stay until late May/June as I am moving overseas for an internship in August and want to stay with family the few months before. If there is anything you would like to know about me, feel free to get in touch. I would love to hear for you!
Hi I'm Nic! I'm moving from Canada to Brisbane to start my medical degree in early February. I have two previous degrees (BSc/MSc) in Biochemistry from my hometown university. I tend to keep to myself, especially in the peak of exams. I'm fairly laid back and looking for similarly minded roommates. I'm up for trying new things (I'm looking at you surfing). I like to run and lift weights (all hail the holy trifecta: bench, squat and deadlift) when I have spare time.
I'm very social, easy-going and friendly, and am generally always up for a good time. That being said, I also know when it's time to get to work and be quiet and respectful. I like to keep busy, whether it be study or work, socialising or fitness. I'll be entering my 4th and final year of Speech Pathology at UQ in the new year and am keen to make it a good one. I am generally a very tidy person and will clean up after myself and help around the house when it's needed.
Hi all I'm looking for a furnished room that is close to UQ. I will have my final semester next year. I hope the rent includes all the utilities and internet (also prefer to have own bathroom, but not necessarily). I am quiet, clean and friendly. Most of the time, I like to stay in my room and do studies but I also don't mind occasionally socializing with my housemates. I'm very well-experienced living in a shared house, so could be sure that I would not be a burden to you. Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from you! **sorry, due to free account, the messages sending to me may be delayed a few days until I receive** **No phone calls please. I am currently away for holiday.** Thank you
Heya, we are two best friends from NZ who moved over to Brisbane in July this year to work and study. We are very easy going and down to earth gals who are looking forward to meeting some new people! We love the outdoors, play and watch all kinds of sport, enjoy socialising and having a few drinks on the odd weekend, but also like our downtime and keeping to ourselves. Please get in touch if you're looking for a team up or think you have the rooms for us! Looking forward to hearing from you :D Cheers, Courtney & Nicole
Looking for people to share a house with around UQ! We are tidy and friendly and keep the house clean as much as possible. We are both 23 years of age and we have a sassy cat names Olive. I am commencing my master of Environmental Management in Feb and Rory is commencing his master of Exercise physiology in second semester. We like to keep to our selves but also love a good movie night. We don't tend to go out very much as we will be very studious. We like to spend our spare time outdoors on adventures and at the beach. We both live a healthy life style, of no smoking, eating healthy and exercising. Let me know if you think you'd like to have us or team up for a new share house :)
Hi, my name's Stephannie. I'm an assistant teacher from Japan and I'm commencing my studies at UQ for my Masters of Teaching from 02/2017. I am clean, tidy, responsible, friendly and respects everyone's personal space. I like to keep things in order since a clean and relaxing home makes a difference. I love learning new things about other people, cultures and stories. I like to think that everything is a learning opportunity. I love doing yoga and I'm pretty active and live a healthy lifestyle. I love the occasional Friday wine nights or catch-ups with friends, and I don't smoke. Apart from teaching, I do portrait photography, and you can check my If you feel like I'm the right flatmate, send me a message here!
Prefer to share with only 1-other person and have own bathroom. I'm a minimalist who likes to live without clutter. I am quiet, respectful of others people's property and privacy. Non-smoker, non-musician, no children and have no pets. I'm prefer the quiet life and am not a party animal. Love dogs but allergic to cats. Hi guys! I am a second year UQ Psychology student looking for some fun housemates to hopefully become great friends with and share a comfortable environment. I am a friendly and fairly easy going person who enjoys sarcasm, memes and cute cat videos (I love cats). I like to spend most of my time when I am not studying or working watching TV shows, eating and napping (naps are life). I would therefore say I am pretty easy to live with, I am always up for a chat or a cheeky alcoholic beverage however at the same time I will always respect your space and privacy when you need it. I am looking to move in around January, however I can be pretty flexible with dates. So if I sound like someone you would be interested in living with or you just want to ask me some questions feel free to contact me anytime! (would prefer a team up situation if possible)
Hey how is it going ! My name is Sebastian, I'm a 23 y/o english student at UQ willing to get in a Master of IT. Currently living in a homestay house but willing to find a closer place to university as I'm staying for 6 months or even 2 years. I'm clean, calmed and outgoing. It would be awesome to find a share house with english speaking mates to improve my language skills but I'm opened to any opportunity.
Hello there. I'm Lenin Jacob from India. I'm 23. I'll be coming to Brisbane on 17th February, as I got admission into UQ. For the initial days, I'll be staying with one of my friends, yet from 25th February, I'll need to live separately. I can only afford a place that is around $140-$160 per week (including all bills). Likewise, I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't have a pet. I have no gender preferences for my flatmate. I could live with both, male or female. Let me know if you're interested in further negotiations. I might be happy to stop for a moment to chat with you.
Hey! I'm an international student from India, doing my Masters at UQ. Right now I'm on holiday at home, but I will be back in February. I'm just on here early to put my feelers out so that moving is easier for me when I get back :) I enjoy a beer every now and then, and spend most of my time on youtube. I'm pretty sociable (not much of a partier tho), and I'm super neat and friendly! I usually spend all day at uni, so I'd probably rarely be home. I also love animals, and would love to live in a house with a pet, but I'm super allergic to cats and dogs (it's the bane of my existence), so if you do have a fur baby, it's probably best I don't move in :( I love watching movies/tv with other people so if you're into that kinda thing, it'd be great! I'll watch pretty much anything (except old kung fu/wild west movies). If you think you'll have an availability by mid-February, please contact me so we can get to know each other! Thanks :)
Hi there! My current lease expires at the end of December and I'm going on a short holiday in January so I'm looking to move into a new place by mid-Dec. I'm an easy-going, friendly, and tidy housemate. Most of my time at home is spent relaxing, but I'm a student at UQ and work in hospitality so I'm not at home all day, every day. I'm not a party animal, but I do have a social life (haha) and enjoy getting together for a couple of drinks every now and then. If you've got any questions, please ask away! :)
Driving from Melbourne is exhausting, looking for a place to re-engergise... I work fulltime. Some days, I work from home. I'm also finishing off my engineering degree. I love getting outdoors/on the water and will most weekends. During the week, things are chill. A gym session, or cheeky wine and netflix, that sort of thing.. I prefer the dynamic of a sharehouse, so I want to keep it going with 2-4 other people. Sneaky drinks or cooking dinner together seems like a obvious thing to do for a happy home. Desides having rad housemates, other important things are single car worth of garage space for my windsurfing gear and other stuff, and proximity to the hills, the bay and/or the gym. Look forward to hearing from you soon!
Hey! We're a bunch of UQ undergrads who are looking for a 4th person to live with next year, close to uni and public transport. We don't party too much (getting close to finishing our degrees so studying takes up most of our lives) but we're always up for some sneaky drinks and we do like the bachelorette (rip courtney) and cool dog group and gymming and donald trump memes. Between the three of us, we already have plenty of the furniture a house needs (from previous sharehouses), but we'll always welcome any fab decor additions such as nice fake plants or funky rugs, but yes hit us up if you're interested! We would prefer to move after new years, but we're all really flexible and we can always sort something that'll suit everyone :)
Hey, I'm Anna. I'm 20 and currently studying Business Management/Bachelor of Arts at UQ. I'm pretty quiet, and spend the majority of my time in my room or at university studying but I'm always up for hanging out. I really enjoy going out to eat and making trips up or down the coast to go to the beach. I'm super easy going and like to keep everything neat and tidy. Please message me if you're interested!
Hey there! My names Sarah, 20 and in my final semester of Uni (UQ). Looking for a groovy place for six months whilst I finish my degree. I am currently backpacking South America for summer break but am looking to move in roughly after the 18th of January
Hi, my name is Ichwan, 27, Indonesian. I'm student here and working part time as well, sometimes doing volunteer job. I'm a tidy, clean person but I can adapt with every situation. I mostly out in the weekdays and around at the weekend.
A clean, respectful and a low-maintenance student studying at UQ, and also a tutor. I'm part Japanese and have lived over there, so having manners is like a second nature. A great interest in sport, especially soccer. Up for some general good times. Cheers.
Hi, Angus (right) and I (left) are looking for extra people to start a share house with! Angus is a Griffith student and will be studying at Mt Gravatt and I will be studying at UQ St Lucia, so ideally we'd be looking for somewhere that makes both of those campuses easily accessible. We've started to collect furnishings such as a TV, cooking equipment and small appliances, but depending on circumstances we would have to work together to either furnish a house/apartment or fill in the gaps of a furnished one, as cheaply as possible of course. Angus will be in Brisbane from the 1st of December and I will be moving down from Cairns around late January early February, this can be accommodated for if need be. Please don't hesitate to ask us any and all questions, we're both open and flexible and wouldn't mind a chat, sadly the dogs don't come with.
I'm an international student at UQ. My current lease will end by the close of the year and I'm looking for a new place close to UQ. I'm quiet but can be chatty and fun too if you get to know me well. I love people and always looking forward to meeting new people. And I love everything about soccer. :-D
Hi there I'm a med PhD/ neuroscientist (super driven) recently back for the states, to help my folks through a transition. Now it's my turn. (House trained) I read a lot though I'm not really a homebody. I love to hang out, philosophise and have a bit of fun preferably with cool compassionate, empathic, humble, self aware, progressive, respectful people. I’m chill and easy going but passionate and engaged with the world. Life's about being positive and being able to talk to anyone no matter what their perspective but if you dont know who Donald Trump is or think he's a good thing, I'm just not the one for you. Troy
I'm quiet, responsible and keep to myself. I do enjoy a drink or a night out occasionally but most of the time I love my private space. However I'd love to help out with anything if you need.
Hi, my names Georgia. I'm currently a student studying a dual degree of Psychological Science and Law at QUT. I'm looking for one or two lovely girls to find a place with. I'm very clean, conscientious and a respectable roommate, looking for someone alike to live with. Would love for the people I move in with to become friends, not just roommates. Feel free to send me a message on here if you're interested in getting to know me more/ look for a place together. Georgia :)
I'm a clean, relaxed, cooking challenged Indian! I love food, travel, meeting new people and music! I'm a daughter, sister, writer and above all a great friend (they say!) (: I'm looking for like minded people to share a flat with while I make Brisbane my home! I'm about soon a be a Post grad at UQ studying a Master of Counselling! Let's work together to make a house, into a home! (: Go UQ! :D
I'm super clean and am reliable with rent/bills. I work and study hard and am great to hang out with as I like to go out here and there but also love staying in and just having a chilled out night. From Cairns but moved down for uni, and I currently have two jobs and love just hanging out at night. I'm great to live with because I'll always have a supply of Zooper Doopers for everyone. I'm the one on the left in the photo.
Hey there! I had to leave my lovely place in st lucia as I was travelling for a while. I'm moving back next month and am looking for a nice house to move into. I'm currently working part time in marketing and recently graduated from UQ but I'm looking to study again next semester. I'm female, 25, Indian/Portuguese and have been in Brissy for three years now. I'm pretty easy to get along with as a roommate. I'm clean, respectable of others space and not a huge party animal but like socializing now and then. I don't mind living with any kind of people as long as they're generally not messy. I can provide references from previous roomies or landlords if required :) Hope to hear from you, Cheers!
