About me

Dylan, 22 | Employed full-time in sales and IT, juggled alongside my responsibilities as a cat dad.

I've been employed with a small family business located in Dandenong South for close to 12 months now, and still loving every day. I'm up when the sun rises, and home when it sets. While in sales, I cover pretty much anything IT related that hits my desk. It ties in closely with my passion for computers, which is probably why it's uncommon to find me without my nose buried in work, after work.

Cars are my other passion. My VS Commodore, while a fixer upper, won't have you wishing a "car guy" didn't live on the block. You'll likely find me tinkering away at it over the weekends. While very passionate about my cars, I'm extremely aware of my surroundings and other people. I take pride in keeping the noise down, but also a clean and organised workspace that won't disturb others. A majority of my automotive stuff is out of the way in a storage unit. I'm very considerate with the hope that others will be too.

This is largely contributed to my upbringing in a military household, high standards being second nature. While not perfect, I've continued to hold myself to this standard across every aspect of my life since leaving home. I take pride in the way I present myself and any space that I occupy.

Reinforcing this was my involvement with the Army Cadets from the age of 12 to 19. I started working at Macca's at 15, working my way up to shift manager before transitioning into an automotive sales position. After a couple of years I wanted to try something new, working full-time as a demolition labourer before settling into my current position. These experiences and opportunities have provided me with invaluable lifelong skills I apply every day.

While I generally keep myself preoccupied, introverted by nature, I'm no stranger to having a good time or matching other people's energy. I'm extremely easy going and unbothered by almost anything.

Pablo is part of the package. He's my two year old rescue tabby cat who's vaccinated and desexed. He's been trained to use a litter box and to stay off any counters.
Being exposed to other people and pets early on has made him extremely sociable. He spent the first few months of his life trying to become friends with my prior housemate's cat, far too unbothered by its resistance to friends. He had better luck at my girlfriend's house, getting very comfortable with her larger staffy and smaller chihuahua.
He WILL try and convince you that I'm starving him of food, and aggressively rub his head against you demanding pats, otherwise keeping to himself.

What I'm ultimately looking for is somewhere I can either call my own, or an environment where I can do my own thing without feeling like I'm surrounded by strangers.

While hoping for some flexibility that would allow my girlfriend, Monique, to stay at maximum one night per week with me, it is not a necessity.

If you want a reliable, respectful, uncomplicated, no drama housemate or tenant who takes pride in his and others' surroundings, please drop me a message.

I'd love to see what's on offer and meet all involved 🙂
