Hi! My name is Manuel Pedrosa, I’m 19 years old and I’m from Lisbon, Portugal. I’m moving to Sydney to study a Bachelor of Product Design at UTS, and I’m really excited to start this new chapter of my life in Australia.
I’m a pretty social and easy-going person who enjoys spending time with friends, going out, exploring new places and discovering what a new city has to offer. I’m definitely a beach person, so I’m looking forward to enjoying Sydney’s beaches whenever I get the chance. I’m also a big football fan, especially of SL Benfica, and gaming is another big interest of mine. I’ve always had an interest in animals as well.
My friends would describe me as respectful, a problem solver and someone who genuinely tries to do the right thing. They would probably also say I can sometimes be a little difficult to deal with, but I always try my best to recognise my mistakes, take responsibility and fix them. Overall, I’d say I’m someone who enjoys being around people and bringing a positive atmosphere wherever I am.
As a housemate, I think communication, respect and keeping shared spaces comfortable for everyone are really important. I’m looking for a place where I can meet new people, make friends and enjoy the university experience, while also having a comfortable and respectful home to come back to.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, experiencing Australian life and making some great memories during my time at UTS!
