Hey everyone!

My name is Jan, I’m 27 years old and originally from Germany. I’ve recently arrived in Australia and I’m currently looking for a nice room in Brisbane!

I’m studying International Management back home, and as part of my degree I’m required to complete an overseas internship of at least 3 months. I’ll be working full-time from November 2nd in Woolloongabba. Ideally, I’m looking for a place within a 15-minute commute of my workplace. I’m looking to stay for at least 3 months, but I’m flexible and potentially happy to stay longer.

A little bit about myself:

I’m a very open-minded, easy-going and warm-hearted person. I’d say I’m positive about 99% of the time and pretty much always have a smile on my face. My friends would probably describe me as a little ray of sunshine and a lucky guy!

I really enjoy connecting with people, building friendships and creating a good atmosphere wherever I go. I’m also someone who prefers avoiding unnecessary stress and drama. If problems do come up, I always try to approach them calmly and find a solution. At the same time, I really appreciate having my own space now and then.

In my free time, I love getting outdoors, exploring new places, going to the gym and discovering everything Australia has to offer. I’m planning to spend most weekends going on little road trips up or down the coast. There’s simply too much to see here! I also enjoy cooking and usually prefer making my own meals rather than eating out.

What I’m looking for in a share house:

A relaxed atmosphere, mutual respect and a clean, tidy household are really important to me. I’m considerate of other people’s routines and always try to be an easy-going and reliable housemate.

Since I have a car, having access to a parking spot or some convenient parking nearby would be a big plus!

I also travel pretty light – just one suitcase and a backpack – so you won’t have to worry about me taking over the entire place with my belongings!
