We have 2 rooms to rent out in a recently renovated 2-story Queenslander style house in Annerley. The house has 4 bedrooms in total, and 2 bathrooms (1 bathroom upstairs, and 1 downstairs). It has a balcony out the back where it gets a cool breeze. Bedroom 1 comes with a queen size bed, a stand-up fan and the light-brown cupboard. These can be moved into storage if you don't want them. Bedroom 2 comes with a queen size bed, and the dark-brown desk. All bills are split between 5 people which makes it pretty cheap. Food is a buy your own situation, with 2 fridges available. There is unlimited internet here which will cost you only an extra $3 a week.
We have 1 room that need to be filled in our lovely 3 bedroom house situated in Annerley. Our previous roommates, whom we’ve lived with for the past two years in this house, are sadly moving out to pursue their careers in different cities. The house itself is about 5km from the city and close to public transport (multiple bus stops and free all-day parking at Fairfield train station). There is plenty of space, with separate lounge, dining and kitchen areas; loads of room under the house for storage or for those who enjoy tinkering with their bikes/cars. It has high set ceiling and wooden floorboards throughout (no dirty carpets !). The common areas are mostly furnished (but you are more than welcome to bring extra furniture), however the bedrooms are not. Room #1 is pretty big (18m2 in total), easily fitting a queen bed and including a walk-in closet for those of you who need a little more space (cf photos). There is plenty of light in this room, as there are 2 large windows in the bedroom and one in the walk-in closet, all with fly screens. The house has one carport and unlimited street parking (parking has never been an issue). It has a lovely garden (~200m2) and a small shaded area for eating outside or lounging in the hammock. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. There are several cafés and restaurants within walking distance and three supermarkets within a 2km radius. We live right across the Yeronga Memorial Park which has a pool, tennis and basketball courts, and a very affordable fitness center (unlimited classes for 15$/week). The rent does no include bills. Over the last two years, bills (internet, gas, water and electricity) have consistently been around 15$ per person and per week. Unfortunately, the house is not pet friendly as Bertrand is allergic to both cats and dogs :(

There is a Coles also only 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of street parking is available however a permit is required (and really easy to get). Washing machine, irons, dishwasher and all the other necessities. Would love a student who has similar interests and keeps relatively clean and tidy. You would be joining a really friendly bunch of students (3 girls and 2 boys) who are busy but super friendly (therefore the house is never crowded). 3 of us are studying Physiotherapy at UQ and one is studying Sports Science at UQ.
