Seeking a flatmate to rent the bigger bedroom with its own ensuite and a little balcony in a flat share. The place is centrally located 100m from Kirra beach and has a pool in the complex. You would be sharing with one male, 30 year old surfer working as a boilermaker. The place is fully furnished (but can negotiate extra space if some storage is needed or you have existing furniture) and you could also have the garage space (for 1 car). There is an internal laundry and living room also has a balcony. There is currently no wi-fi internet but it can be negotiated between flatmates if required. The rent would be $250 weekly for single person or $300 weekly for a couple excluding the energy bill, which is shared quarterly. Bond is 2 weeks rent. Applicants MUST be working. This is not a "party house" as we need to be respectful of neighbours and comply with body corporate rules. However socializing is definitely welcome! Drinks/barbecues/friends over etc are perfectly fine, as long as everyone is responsible and respectful. Prefer non-smokers and strictly no drugs of any kind are permitted. You would have to be willing to apply to be on the lease with the real estate agency as a new lease would commence at the end of the month. The lease term is 6 months but it is not necessary to stay the term - as long as you are willing to assist in finding a replacement if you need to leave early. Close to SCU and GC Int'l airport, walk to Kirra or Cooli beaches. Pool 50 metres, bus stop 250m, Cooli shops 15 minutes walk. Great cafes and food minutes away. Everything works, and I am clean and respectful. Hey there! I run my spare room as an Airbnb, however, I am open to taking the occasional short term rental for a month or two, or provide temporary accommodation for people recently moved to the coast. Our home is a spacious, 1980s apartment which was fully renovated in 2016. It is now a charming, sun soaked space which boasts views of the Pacific Ocean and is just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The spare room is furnished with a queen sized bed, dresser and built in robe. The living area (which opens out onto the balcony) has a huge, comfy couch where you can kick back after a sun soaked day at the beach. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, appliances and a large bench space, and the dining table can be used for meals or as a desk/work space if you require it. The bathroom is pretty standard with a vanity and combined bath/shower, as well as a small laundry space with washing machine. The toilet is separate. The balcony is nice and shady during the hottest parts of the day and the perfect place to sit and have breakfast or lunch while soaking up the ocean views! There is also a communal BBQ and picnic area just by the side of the apartment.
We have a lovely spacious house with wonderful views in Tugun. A large bedroom (queen size bed, a small built-in desk, built in wardrobes, air conditioning and a ceiling fan) is available for a home stay guest. Our previous (overseas) guests have enjoyed the experience, with the last guest asking about returning for another stay. Oh, and we have a solar heated pool too. Around the pool we have a hydroponic system fed by rainwater tanks growing our vegetables, and we have a few chooks to produce eggs. You would be welcome to share our meals, though if this is to happen you would need to contribute to the cost of food, and help us clean afterwards. We share the household chores, and you will be expected keep the spaces you use (room, bathroom, & kitchen) clean and tidy. There is a bathroom next door which would largely be yours, though our son may occasionally share the bathroom. We have allowed for reasonable use of electricity, water, and internet in the weekly rent. A fortnight's rent must be paid punctually at least 14 days in advance, so you will need to pay a month's rent to take the room. We don't want to have to embarrass you by having to ask for money. The last fortnight's advance rent payment will be returned to you at the end of your stay if everything is left clean, tidy, in good condition, and we get the key back.
