I am a very relaxed person who prefers a quiet lifestyle, so would suit someone with busy working and studying schedule. Your room has a large north-facing window and measures approximately 3.0 x 3.6 m, including BIR. It currently has two desks and a bunch of music equipment, but they will be cleared out soon. I'm not the type to leave appliances (esp. heating / cooling) on or take a ridiculously long shower. We have a room for rent in the next week (date coming) in our light filled shop front apartment/fortress on Sydney Road in Brunswick. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen and living area and a deck filled with plants and a hammock. There is a split system that heats and cools the house. The place was renovated recently so everything is nice and new. There is a bar/restaurant across the road as well as cafes, a supermarket and a Bunnings within 100 metres. Public transport: The 19 tram is at the doorstep and the Brunswick train station (Upfield line) is a 1 minute walk away. We basically have everything we need within a block. The room is a decent size. Our current housemate has a king sized bed in the room, shelves, a double wardrobe, a bedside table etc. The wardrobe will stay when he leaves. We are preferably looking for a male to keep some gender balance. Ideally someone who is clean, respectful, reliable and most importantly, a good time. We respect one another’s privacy/space but we prefer the house to feel like a home so someone who is keen to hang out sometimes would be ideal (no full time room dwellers pls). No couples - sorry. Our housemate that is moving is taking a lot of his kitchen stuff with him so if you have anything that would be a bonus. The washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle etc is all staying. If you have a car: There are no parking spaces within the apartment but you can park close by on the street or in the Bunnings carpark like we do. My place is super close to a train station and also only a very short walk to the tram stop, either way it only takes around 10minutes to be in the city. I'm generally quite a tidy person, ...I also love to goto the markets if I get time on the weekend and have a cook up.... The kitchen here is amazing, the fridge is huge too. The coffee machine makes a decent latté. The juicer is a cold pressed semi commercial thing that makes the best green juices ever!! The internet here is quite fast and unlimited. The hot water is instantaneous and also unlimited, lol,, the gas heating is awesome, the TV is next level ridiculously HUGE, ...I don't mind staying in sometimes for a nice slow cooked meal, a glass of wine, and Netflix and chill...
The location is amazing! The house is right next to Sydney Rd shops, bars and restaurants. It is a 5 minute walk from Anstey Station and the bike path that goes to the city. The room is absolutely massive! We have fig, olive and nectarine trees and a bunch of herbs and veggies in the garden. We recycle and are just about to start composting.
