CERES environment park is just across the road and Lygon st and Sydney road within walking distance. The price is $735 per month plus bills, internet, water, electricity (we have solar panels) so it doesn't get too expensive, and gas. The room doesn't come fully furnished you will need to bring your own bed however it has a rack to hang clothes and a big chest of drawers. There is a carpark space that must be share. If you do not feel like making the 100m trek, the house has enough plants to keep you happy. There is wonderfully hideous carpet and ornamental wood carvings on the ceiling. The floor is a bit wonky. Very trendy (in the 1950's) fake brick adorns the exterior. The living room is comfy with a window that gets good light. There is a fridge, washing machine, oven, microwave, etc. There is no A/C or central heating. The is a slanted patio with a couch well positioned to watch sunsets and the rosellas decimating the pears :( The house is accessible via a few steps up the front porch or around the side driveway and up two steps the back patio.
