Hello everyone :) Davey Unilodge is one the most strategically located student accommodations you could ever find. A 5 minute walk to ANU (for those who study in ANU consider yourself very lucky to live here), and 10 to 15 minute walk to the city, where you could find almost anything (from grocery shops, restaurants, food courts, cinema, gym, clubs/ bars, etc). Photos will be added soon. About the structure and privacy of the shared room (two single beds!), we can compromise, discuss and organise it they way each of us want it to be.

Position, position, position...its so hard to capture this lovely place in all its details. I've been renting in Canberra for 6 years and THIS homely house is the best bang for your rental $$ than anywhere else I've rented in Canberra. VERY LARGE bedroom overlooking the front porch surrounded by native gardens. The house is a 1950's solid brick, with most of its original charm still intact, including original 50's kitchen with a wood stove, next to the more modern gas stove. Original 50s bathroom with a HUGE pale blue full size bath and a more modern shower. Unlike most other houses of similar age in Canberra, this place has been very well insulated (thanks to Kevin Rudd), it never gets hot in Summer, and has efficient central heating for the winter. There is loads of cupboard space in the bedrooms and even more in the cavernous hallway/ballroom. Being across the road from Lyneham Shops; with a Bakery, IGA supermarkert, The Front Cafe, Post Office and having a bus stop to ANU on the doorstep are huge benefits. Overall its a very spacious and homely house with loads of storage space, huge low maintenance rear garden with a productive vegetable patch and 4 chickens. There is also a secure 1.5 car garage, a handy easy access lockable bicycle shed, and a gardening shed for EVEN more storage if needed. If you'd like to see the place please send me a message here.
One bedroom with your own bathroom and toilet in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Available from late-March (negotiable). Includes: - Fully furnished apartment - Secure underground car park and locker space - Ducted heating and cooling - Gym - NBN internet Located in the heart of Barton and adjacent to the Parliamentary Triangle so just a short walk to nearby government departments and only a 3 minute walk to the Barton bus interchange. You'll be sharing the place with Chris. I'm a lawyer in mid-20's. Originally from Melbourne, I moved to Canberra two years ago. I'm an experienced housemate and I enjoy cooking, films and chilling out to some hip hop and jazz. I'm very clean and respectful of your personal space. I'll be working full time and studying part time so I'll be quiet and I expect someone who is considerate but I'm always keen for a chat/dinner/Seinfeld binge.
Fantastic location Large fully furnished room, with built in robes, desk and studio chair Internet and utilities included Close to Australian National University Bus stops located on streets front and back of house Directly across from Lyneham shops Post office, IGA, Hairdresser, Tilley's Restaurant/bar, Chemist, Doctor, Dentist, Book store and meeting place for chats and drinks just across the street Walking distance to Dickson Mall Central Heating and Air Conditioning Washing Machine and Dryer
The house is pretty amazing, it feels like it's come off a set of Mad men, its a stupidly cool place to live. The house is fully furnished, has cork floors throughout, floor to ceiling windows around the whole back of the house that open onto a entertaining deck and backyard, timber paneling throughout and bedrooms are all queen size, bedrooms can be partly furnished if you need we can discuss. There is currently 2 boys and 1 girl and we are looking for another housemate, we enjoy each others company, eat a couple of times a week together, giggle a lot and respect each others space. Our household is a fun one!
Our home is across the road from Mt Ainslie nature reserve. Short walk to local shops, quick cycle or reasonable walk to the city and close access to buses. The room has lovely big windows and built-in wardrobe space, and is connected to the central heating (which we use thoughtfully :). The room has a comfy double bed in it but can moved if need be. It is best inhabited by someone who is a solid sleeper as sound-proofing in the room isn't great. Current housemates are Noemi and Valeria (12) from Mexico, and Amie and Kylie from Aust. The house is large and more than comfortably accommodates all of us. Noemi is in her last year of an anthropology PhD, Valeria just started highschool, Kylie just moved here from Darwin and is also doing studies in Anthropology, and Amie works in community arts and is involved in a number of other comm'ty based projects.
It is located in the pristine and leafy suburbs of one of Canberra oldest, yet trendiest suburbs. There are local shops and cafe's just a two minute walk away, and parks, open spaces, and the lake at your fingertips, a fifteen minute walk down the road past the famous Yarralumla Kebab house! This is such a homely property, with a big backyard that you can overlook from a very spacious room, fit for a dresser, queen bed, bookshelf, desk and ample closet space.

Hi guys! Myself and Thea are looking for singles or a couple to join us in our new and spacious Kingston Foreshore 3 bedroom apartment. It is ideally located, close to the lake, parks, restaurants, cafes, gyms, and bars for all your social, exercise and 'romantic-walks-along-the-lake' needs, and is a 30 min walk / 10 min cycle along the lake to offices in the Parliamentary Triangle (say no to pay parking). All bedrooms are up for negotiation, however we are currently inhabiting the two smaller bedrooms, so someone taking the master with ensuite would be preferred. Rent for the whole apartment is $850/week not including bills, so we are pricing the master bedroom at around $300/week for singles or $350/week for a couple. The apartment is roughly 4 years old, is very clean and filled with natural light. The bedroom is unfurnished, however the living area and kitchen are furnished.

Room in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in the centre of Kingston! Apartment has a shared living space, a balcony and access to a gym! The room has a double bed (please note - not 2 singles as in room picture) and built-in wardrobe, and space for a desk and bedside table (not provided). Bathroom will be shared with an existing male tenant. Our shared living area has couches, and a small TV (feel free to bring a nice TV to share!). Other appliances (for cooking / washing) are already present in the apartment, and we are very happy to share as long as our things are respected! The apartment is in the Griffin apartment complex, across the road from Kingston IGA - meaning extremely convenient access to shops, cafes, bars and public transport. The complex gym includes some cardio equipment (bikes / treadmills / rowing machine), a smith machine and dumbbells. It only takes around 10-15 minutes to drive to Civic (even at peak times), or a 5 minute walk to catch the bus. There is also a taxi rank just in front of the apartment complex. We are very close to the inner-Canberra office precincts, and as such would perfectly suit a young professional or graduate without furniture. ADSL2+ internet (WiFi) is split between tenants for $20 paid monthly. Electricity is also split between tenants, and is paid quarterly. On-street parking is available in the surrounding streets (2hr restriction during the day, not restricted in evenings or on weekends).
One large queen bedroom (3.6m x 3.4m floor space), unfurnished, built-in robes, separate bathroom. Another bedroom available to store additional furniture, or use as a separate study/sitting room. Three bedroom house (main bedroom separated from other bedrooms); living spaces in between. Ducted gas heating. Transact cable internet wi-fi. Garage. Covered rear deck. Small, low maintenance garden (no work for housemate). Neat, tidy, quiet home - with music usually playing in the background (eclectic taste). Short walk to Dickson shopping centre (including Woolworths and the many restaurants), and two gyms (Flames and NextGen). Suit a mature, social, open-minded housemate. I prefer a sociable environment: a mate sharing a house, rather than a tenant. Sharing a drink and chat after work, the occasional meal, sitting down and watching the footy/TV/DVD together; not someone who spends every evening in their (bed)room. A fellow tennis/squash player or beach-goer would be great. Non-smoker requirement. Stable professional job who can pay rent on time. About me: 50, Public Servant. I walk to work most days (weather permitting), and keep regular hours. Non-smoker, and prefer quiet nights in or catching up with friends in a cafe/bar/restaurant rather than clubbing or partying. Love sports (prefer playing, but also watching) ... tennis, squash, soccer, netball. Enjoy beach (regular trips to the Coast on weekends in summer), cooking, theatre, reading, sci-fi movies/TV.
