About the property
The building is New Acton South, positioned next to Parkes way and Lake Burley Griffin. It's a short walk to the City Centre, and to the ANU campus. So it's a good location if you study at ANU or work in the city. The view from the apartment looks East towards the city and London Circuit. We are on the 4th floor, which has two large shared terraces (North and South) that also overlook Lake Burley Griffin, and have a view to Black Mountain.
There are two underground carparks in total (one for me, and one available if required). The building has a shared gym, free for residents. It's decently well equipped, and I can show you around so you can gauge if it will cover your routines. Attached to the ground floor is a nice little cafe (The Mocan and Green Grout). We're also in the 'New Acton' neighbourhood, which has a good few nice dining places - more dressy than casual. But it's also very close to the city for more laid-back eating.
The apartment and bedroom are furnished, with a double bed+mattress and small desk in the bedroom. Utilities are separate from rent (water, electricity, gas and internet). There is also air conditioning, a washing machine, drying machine and dishwasher. The size of the bedroom is (~4.3m*3.4m), with a large cupboard, full-wall window and block-out curtains. The bedroom also includes a lock on the door.
The bathroom contains the washing machine and dryer, so there will be some shared access, however aside from that we would each have a separate bathroom. The room is available from the 25th February, and will be on a subletting agreement. The apartment is owned by my mother, and so the primary lease is in my name. The sublease is also renewable.
There is some construction around the building right now while they repair some hail damage and update cladding, but that shouldn’t last for too much longer.

About the flatmates
Hi, my name's Joshua, and I'm a PhD student at ANU. I'll be on campus through the week, and largely in the apartment otherwise.
I'm happy to be social, and enjoy board games, card games and video games. I also spend some time playing music and drawing, but I'm happy to keep it quiet whenever it might be a problem. But if you like music too, I'd be glad to share my keyboard or guitars!
If you're more on the introverted side, that's fine by me too. I'll occasionally have some friends in the apartment (and you're welcome to do the same!) but I won't be throwing parties or anything. So if you'd prefer to mostly keep to yourself, then feel free.
