The house is a great big old Queenslander that borders the Enoggera Army Barracks. Due to the size of the place it's common that you'll only bump into the other roommates whenever we cross in the kitchen, so if you're concerned about privacy or being crowded with a bunch of people - don't be. Very safe and quiet neighbourhood with buses to the city just at the end of the street, and about a 15 minute walk to the trainline and some local shops. There is a Coles, Woolworths, and Aldi 5 minutes drive away down near Asghrove, allowing for convenient ducks up to the shops. Typically it only takes about 10-15 minutes by personal transport to get to anywhere else in the city, barring peakhour traffic. For students without vehicles, getting to UQ or QUT is not too much of a hassle, and it only takes me about 40 minutes total to get to UQ and Google Maps says it would take only 30mins to get to QUT Kelvin Grove. The 350 bus and equivalents run to the city roughly every 15 minutes, stopping at Roma St. and beyond, allowing for easy transfers. Features a sizeable yard, large kitchen with plenty of bench space and a gas stovetop, gas hot water, with plenty of storage space under the house. We have unlimited cable internet with Optus (100mbit), ideal for anyone concerned about bandwidth for gaming or streaming. Just don't be greedy with it because we like having low ping too :) Peace and quiet is the status quo, but no one is going to prevent you from having some friends over to hang out. Smokers are accepted but outdoors only. No pets, sorry.
This little house in Enoggera is a perfect home for someone looking for a cheap, low maintenance property with good company. In my eyes, it is in the ideal location for living; It's a very short drive or train journey to the city; It's not too bad to get back to during peak hour; and there are heaps of great shops around the area, with three Coles and two Woolworths very close by, and even a small shopping center. Enoggera train station is only a ten minute walk away and now there is even a Cafe 63 just opening up around the corner too. The house itself is lovely, it's nice and small with good character. Whilst it doesn't have all the new mod cons and brand new finishings that brand new houses do, for the price you're paying it’s excellent value. It is fully furnished, comes with two lazy boy recliners in the living area, along with a projector and big speakers (pros of working in the AV business). Good size dining table to have dinner, games or study and do work at. It has three bedrooms, but only two are rented out, as we use the other one as a spare bedroom just in case you have friends or family that want to stay over. We have a great back yard which includes a beer fridge, park/pub bench, and a fire pit. The fire pit is getting used a lot with this cold weather going around, and the bench and beer fridge is used on the regular throughout the summer. We have a great aircon unit that is a lovely bit of help in the summer. Your room is a decent size and can fit a few things and comes with a built-in wardrobe. The current housemate has a queen bed and an L shaped desk in there and lives very comfortably. It's totally up to you what you put in there. I can give you the bed from the spare bedroom if you need a bed. You will have the driveway space too, but my jetski will have the undercover area on the driveway. Rent is $175 per week with a 4-week bond upfront. Rent does include water usage. Gas and electricity are split 50/50 every quarter. Unlimited internet is split 50/50 monthly about $32 each per month. Ideally what I'm looking for is a positive social person who can look after themselves and the house. Can be social most of the time but likes to have their own time to themselves.

It's a wonderful queenslander with a ton of space for everyone. It's light and airy which helps with the summer heat. There's a ton of greenery around and a wonderful backyard. The house comes with a good fridge, dishwasher and washing machine with a large line to hang your cloths. The shared spaces are fully equipped with cooking equipment, tables, couches and TV. The garage gives the property tons of storage space if you need it. The living room and kitchen are also air conditioned, which is mainly used for the hot nights and days during summer. Your room will be on the front of the house, with your own door to the front deck. This is super help full for summer when you can open it up to get more air flow through the room.
