Hi my name is Arryn Hampden I am attempting to practice minimalism so I haven't had internet linked to the property, however I am open to having it connected if this is something you would like. The current connection type is NBN which is the fastest in Australia. I have a grounds keeper (Wayne) come to the property on the regular (this is at NO COST to you). Wayne is currently changing the landscape from tropical garden to a working vegetable garden. Wayne and I are also looking at getting Chickens in the near future. Sooo if you like eggs and vegetables you're already winning. Wayne doesn't live at the property however frequents the property to work on the grounds. The bathroom and kitchen have been renovated from the original house. The house is a beautiful old Queenslander with dark polished wooden floors, Stained glass windows and white tongue and grove walls. A huge dinning and lounge area and a cloak room at the front door. The main bedroom has a small study attached to it, Personally I don't use this area often. Its a good place for extra storage or to study. All rooms have working A/C. Any assessable windows from the outside have security screens for your safety. There are smoke alarms fitted and outdoor sitting area with touchscreen that repel any mozzies. I also have gym equipment if you can't afford a gym membership. There are currently 2 recliner chairs, a click-click couch that easily folds into a bed (if you have a friend stay the night), a fridge, bar fridge (down stairs), gas oven/ cook top, microwave, toaster, washing machine, slow cooker and a blow up queens size mattress 9f you have more then one friend stay over. There are two toilets and one bathroom. The house is raised to 6ft and the laundry and Gardening/ storage shed is down stairs. I'm 6.4ft so I don't use the underside of the house often. Its really good if you're short haha. There's also an old washing trough under the house that is perfect for putting ice and drinks in if you have friends over. The underside of the house is also nice if its raining and you want to have a party or just go outside for a smoke with out getting wet. Personally I don't smoke however I don't mind smokers as long as you don't flick or leave your butts around the property. I have a puppy that I am currently Training to be a Mental health assistance dog to support me and my clients (I work in mental health as a Lifestyle Support worker). It is a dog friendly property as long has your dog isn't an escape artiest lol. Personally I love animals so I'm pretty open to the idea The property is quite large 1000m2. Also if you are an eco friendly person there is a bus stop at the front of the house. The neighbours on both sides are friendly, quiet and I have a good rapport with them both. (Sharing tools gardening equipment etc). I personally haven't had any problems in this suburb and everyone I talk to like the area myself included. We (that's Jack and Anja) are looking for someone to move in with us into our beautiful old Queenslander with lots of character. Jack has bought the house a couple of years ago and we've been doing lots of renovation on it since, to make it a paradise everyone wants to call a home. The house has got 3 bedrooms, one of them could be yours (we'd like to keep one as a guestroom for visitors). It has got 2 windows, one of them facing the veggie patch and garden. There is a temporary milkcrate-bed in there at the moment, which can be used or stored underneath the house, if you're bringing your own. Right next to the bedroom is the bathroom with a big shower, a washing machine, toilet and lots of storage room for everyone's belongings. There is also a little office which at the moment is mainly used by Anja for her online studies and crafty stuff. The heart of the house is the big open living space where we like to chill on the couch, listen to music and dance through the kitchen whilst cooking amazing dishes for ourselves and sometimes for friends. From the kitchen/livingroom there are sliding windows facing the big deck and views onto our beloved garden. The deck invites to chill in one of the hammocks, do yoga on, have breakfast/lunch and dinner, be creative , read a book and listen to the birds. Because there really is not much else in our soundscape. We're very lucky to have a quiet neighbourhood. Downstairs there is a big garden, which is ever evolving and growing into a more and more beautiful space for everyone. Jack is a landscaper so he's got the vision, know-how and passion to create wonderful landscape in the back yard. At the moment there are 2 big projects happening. One is the veggie patch, which we've extended and are just starting to grow our own food again (which we like to share of course), and the second project is a paving job/water feature/ hanging daybed overlooking the vegetable garden. Underneath the house there's lots of storage room and the washing line, as well as Jack's workbench. All in all there is still quite a bit of work to do around the house and the garden, but it is already very liveable and homely.
