Beautiful wooden 3-bedroom home with large pool and well-established tropical gardens and plenty of indoor and outdoor plants. Views to Mt Stuart or the front and views to Castle Hill from the back Deck that overlooks the pool.
Bedrooms and lounge room have brand new split system air conditioning and there are ceiling fans throughout, though we barely ever turn them on due to the naturally cool and breezy design of the home, boasting super high ceilings and plenty of windows with fly screens. There are 4 areas with couches so plenty of places to relax. Well-appointed kitchen with gas stove and electric oven. High speed, fibre to the premises, internet with unlimited data. Solar panels coming soon. Gardens provide plenty of privacy whether enjoying the back deck, the ice bath, the large pool, dart board, workout rings, or the weber gas BBQ. Security cameras keep things safe when we're out, though in the 5 years I've lived here we've never had a trespasser. Plenty of storage and downstairs with under house clothesline so laundry can hang dry even in the wet season. Planning to install a second bathroom and outdoor shower downstairs in 2026.
ROOM 1 - Front Room of the house accessed through the front lounge room and then through a set of double French doors. Room boasts plenty of fresh air and sunlight due to two whole walls being completely windowed for their entire width. You can open up even at night with the louvered side being fully screened or block out the outside world with the neutral grey block out curtains if that is your preference. The room has a wardrobe (curtained rather than doored for convenience with hanger space and shelves). Furniture in the room is currently a double bed and mattress, a desk, a chair, a bedside table, and a lamp. To keep you cool in the summer there is a brand-new DC ceiling Fan/Light with remote, and a brand-new split system AC installed December 2024. The walls are also shaded by tropical palms to help keep the heat down in summer.
ROOM 2 - (AVAILABLE MID FEBRUARY) - Side room accessed through a small hallway that connects to the bathroom and kitchen. The room keeps fresh with one entire wall windowed with a mix of fly screened wooden louvres and glass bay windows. Stay cool with Ceiling fan and brand-new split system AC. There is a inbuilt wardrobe at one end of the room and a rack for hanging clothes in an alcove at the other. The room is currently furnished with a small desk, chair, lamp and double bed. This room attracts a lower price than the front room due to a curtained door rather than a solid door.
There is a single pet, a 2.5m coastal carpet python, she's in a terrarium so you don't need to interact with her if you don't like snakes, though she is very friendly.
Housemates will need to match the good vibes of the house, will consider, male, female, non binary or couples ($70pw extra for couple (room 1 only). Non smoking household, prefer no pets but happy to discuss.
We have been receiving a lot of enquiries, so to speed up the process when you message us, please tell us a bit about yourself (hobbies, interests, lifestyle, prior living arrangements/experiences, social expectations/habits, cleaning habits, etc...). The more we know about you the more likely we are to feel confident in offering you an inspection / meeting if you seem like an ideal housemate for us.
Please note that photos are from when house was listed with the real estate. Furniture is now different, floors have since been polished, walls repainted, vanities and benches resurfaced, etc... Won't be adding photos of current contents, here but when you have introduced yourself, I'll be happy to share them in private.

Hey potential future housemate/s, we are a couple looking to share our home with other like-minded people.
I'm Tristan a 40yr old Australian male, full time employed firefighter with Queensland Fire Department. I'm an easy-going outdoor adventurer, mostly spending my days off rock climbing or white-water kayaking or sailing if I can find someone to go with, though I also enjoy a good book or board game when relaxing. I'm mostly very active and only sporadically home, aside from the Rock climbing and kayaking, I also enjoy diving (free and scuba), hiking, camping, running, mountain biking, yoga, acro yoga, and slack lining. My rotating shift roster means I have 4 days off in a row regularly though those days can be weekend or midweek so I'm keen to get out adventuring if days off line up.
We prefer shared living spaces to be kept clean and tidy, when home I'm mostly gardening, cooking, watching the sunset on the roof, doing yoga, having a swim or planning an adventure. I enjoy socialising and am often up for a chat or hanging out and doing something active whether at home or out, but I'm equally comfortable to be of little words and keep my own company. Occasionally I'll watch a movie, series or play a video game, but only if I'm both tired and bored. I don't smoke, and rarely drink alcohol, though will occasionally have a beer/cider while watching the sunset up on the roof. I like chilled music, if I'm playing it on a speaker, it's usually reggae, lo-fi or trip hop.
Occasionally my girlfriend stays with me, she's German and a full time student at JCU, also highly active, adventurous, and a great baker. I won't say any more about her here but I'm sure you'll love meeting her, she's always got a smile and will ask how you're going if she sees you at home.
Room 1 is currently occupied by a couple from Chile, they mostly keep to themselves playing video games when not working their jobs. They move out on the 30th January.
Room 2 currently occupied by a lovely energy filled Brazilian man who moves out on the 27th January.
We are an environmentally conscious household and will be looking for others who also preference sustainable products and practices. There will be an expectation that all occupants keep shared spaces clean and help out with pool and yard maintenance.
