Other than that we never enter the flat. We have pretty much all communal furniture/fridges etc. Would be ideal if you have a tv you could bring but obviously not a deal breaker. Cons: Literally nothing except maybe the homicidal palm tree that likes dropping fronds on the footpath, our next-door neighbour who seems to have taken up the saxophone (but only between 4 and 5pm) and the fact that Cat Rodrigues will no longer be living here About the housemates: Tim Pollitt: Project manager by day, bar manager by night. Insists on living a healthy lifestyle curbed only by a low key drinking habit and a heavy measure of sarcasm. Always keen on a chat or some down time at home with housemates and feels like the palm tree cops a lot of hate and that we should be more understanding of its needs. Bjorn Doherty: Googler by day, Dancer by night. The man that has no limits and finds interest in stuff you didn’t even know existed. He's more like a cat than a dog in that he just finds somewhere comfy to chill and sleeps all day. His hobbies include watching you pee, scoring pizza crusts, and back pats in front of the tellie. Obviously, you must love dogs to apply, but not in that over the top creepy way please. Just in the normal totally obsessed with awesome dogs because they’re awesome way. MORE DOGS: We are directly next to an off-leash dog park where all the locals catch up most evenings for a friendly chat and butt sniffing (I'll leave it to you to decide which is the owners and which is the dogs). The park also has free electric BBQs that are always clean (seriously, people leave them clean *tears of joy*). WORK or STUDY FROM HOME: There's a study upstairs with desk/moniter/printed (not unpacked in time for the photos but you get the idea), and a daybed for mid-afternoon 'deep thinking' sessions (aka naps). LAHDEEDAH FEATURES: We have a fancy-pants kitchen with built-in dishwasher and fridge hidden behinds cabinets. We also have one of those expensive coffee machines that you always wondered ‘what kind of stuck up snobby people have those?!’. Now YOU can be that person who says stuff like "oh yuk, you can taste that THOSE beans weren't kept in the fridge", or anything referring to a nutty undertone. Solar power is another bonus, as well as the 3m ceiling fan which is amazing. There's a new washing machine which is whisper quiet. And just when you think it can't get any better, you get your OWN full size near new fridge! No more hiding the lindt under veggies. PARTAY: This is a misleading heading because we don’t want a massive party house. We both work long hours in hectic jobs so our home is where we mostly decompress and relax. That being said we love to entertain occasionally with BBQS, dinner parties, and movies nights. The place is perfect for entertaining including a projector for movie nights (or shadow puppet competitions?). As avid adventure enthusiasts, we have all the camping/diving/caving/canyoning/sking/boarding gear you could imagine with spares, so you'll be set for summer adventures. LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT: Natural light all day long, lots of plants, but block out blinds in your room so you can ignore the outside world and get those Sunday morning sleep-ins. OUTDOOR RETREAT: If the giant park on one side wasn’t enough, we have a private courtyard area on the other side. That's just a fancy way of saying tandem driveway of course, but it's private and sunny with our DIY plunge pool for cooling off that fits 2-3 comfortably and 7-8 very uncomfortably. Bluetooth headphones if you're settling in for a 24hr netflix binge or decide to listen to yodelling remixes at 3am. Plenty of room for guests who need a place to crash for the night. We've got a cute vintage caravan that's being renovated offsite that could be put back in as an additional chill out spot/guest room if wanted. We have a LARGE BEDROOM available in our beautiful, spacious 3 bedroom house in the heart of Annandale, arguably the best suburb in the Inner West. $350 includes all of your bills (unlimited internet, electricity and water) and household requirements (toilet paper etc). The house is situated a 3 min walk from an IGA, SupaBarn, liquor store, plenty of cafes and a bus stop - this takes you right into the city and comes very frequently. It is also very close to both Sydney Uni and UTS. There is a big outdoor space, perfect for lounging in the sun and room for gardening if you have a green thumb. The house itself is 3 bedroom, with a large living/dining area with 1 shared bathroom and a lovely modern kitchen. The house is fully furnished, however the room available is not. (I have some furniture you'd be welcome to use, just not a bed.) The room is very spacious and fits a queen size bed with ease, there is also PLENTY of room left for a desk/chair/lounge in the room or extra storage. There is a large inbuilt robe as well which features full length mirrors! One of our current housemates is moving out and we would like to fill her room - the room will be available after Christmas, however, flexible on dates if you need somewhere a little before that. We are looking for someone who is clean and quiet, i.e. no party animals and please no couples, purely from a space perspective.
