There is one off street car space that gets shared between the three of us, and the garage is mainly used for storage. The house is a bike ride from town and the beach, a walk away from restaurants and pubs in Maryville and Carrington, and a few steps from the creek and waterfront park. We also have 2 cafes, a bottle shop, and a servo within a 5 minute walk. The bedroom is on the first floor. It is a large carpeted room with a wall to wall mirrored built-in-wardrobe. This room shares a bathroom with the third room downstairs, and is being rented for $185 p/w. Bills come in at about $80 a month, which includes internet and utilities. The initial lease will be for 6 months with the potential to extend if things work out.

The house is completely furnished (apart from a working telly which will probably be organised by the time you move in). The spare bedroom is a blank canvas for you to fill with your lovely things. There is a third bedroom we can share as a study, second bedroom or chill out space. So much storage space it’s not funny. A couple minutes walk from Newcastle interchange and Hamilton station. Only a couple min drive to beaches too! Also right across from Throsby creek and source cafe (perfect for hungover b+e feasts). Has air-con downstairs, three toilets, extra storage space available in garage, fully furnished so you’re not expected to provide any furniture unless you’d like to. I’m also happy to share my Netflix login. I enjoy a fairly clean house, so if you know your way around some cleaning equipment I’m sure we’ll get along just fine :)

Hi there! We're a 28 year old engineer (Julian) and 30 year old public servant (Kaitlyn) who are looking for someone to rent a room in our 3 bedroom townhouse. Kaitlyn and I are in separate rooms, so you'd be the third housemate. The "townhouse" is one of only two, that have been made following an old corner milk bar being split into two residences. It's a good sized corner place over two stories, with high ceilings on both floors and floorboards/tiles downstairs with carpeted upstairs. The room you'd have is pretty big (2.5m x 4m with large built in wardrobe) and has a large window. It's only a couple of minutes walk to cafes and restaurants in Carrington, with plenty of pubs easily walkable. At the end of our street there is access to a walking/cycle path that you can take for a cruise alongside the river, or you can get on your bike and ride either into Newcastle or Mayfield. Makes cycling around really easy and safe as there is only about 250m of quiet road before the path. We're both pretty clean but aren't "clean freaks", ie: we wash up after ourselves and don't leave dirty dishes around, will clean benches after cooking, but also aren't vacuuming the whole house every week. We're generally fairly quiet through the week, with Julian working 9-5 and Kaitlyn working part time each weekday. We're always keen for a beer on the weekends and don't mind people having friends over sometimes, but not exactly a big weekly "party house" if that's what you're looking for. We like keeping fit, a bit of fishing, camping and surfing (Julian). We have a large lounge room with big TV and great fan, bathroom with bath and shower (would mainly be shared by yourself and Kaitlyn as Julian has ensuite) and small laundry with washing machine (no dryer). The kitchen has electric stove/cook top, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is a backyard that we're currently trying to convince grass to grow in, and there's a covered outdoor pergola/bbq spot. We're looking for someone who is similarly keen to be pretty low key through the week but who's also keen to socialise with us at home. Looking for $180/week plus bills that we split 3 ways. We'd like to get a female between 22-30 who's looking for somewhere for over 6 months. Bond would be 4 weeks rent that would be paid back whenever you move out. Happy for partners to stay over a couple of nights a week but want to keep the place a 3 person house.
