Hello! We have a room available as of now in our super nice lil 2-bedroom place in brunswick east on a quiet street. We are Claire and Taco. Claire works full time in the environment sector; Taco is a professional sleeper and ball retriever. For my part, I work a fair bit and outside of that am generally quite social and active, but obviously having a furry child means I'm home a fair bit too, particularly week nights. I'm currently gearing up to start training for my first ever half marathon (Taco is my trainer). At this time of year I occasionally spend the weekend flailing around on cross-country skis. I always have aspirations to see more live music and cheap movies than I actually do. As for the vibe in the house, I like to keep a pretty tidy place and will be expecting the same from my future housemate. I very much like the idea of sharing a bit of food/wine/tea/chats with the people I live with, and also like to semi-regularly invite friends around to get in on that action too. I am currently in the planning stages of repopulating the collection of indoor plants (many left with the previous housemate). Did I mention we have a fish pond? The room is medium-sized, and unfurnished, although there's the potential to leave a bookshelf and little side table in there if that was useful to you. The apartment is a large sized (100m2) loft style apartment on the ground floor with easy access and a good sized sunny courtyard for you to use. Also included is a TV with free Netflix, Stan and Foxtel. The apartment is in great condition and always kept clean, so would prefer a roomie who respects our furniture and keeps the place tidy. We have 1 bathroom which would be shared and a seperate toilet. The place is a few minutes walk off Chapel and close to Greville Street precinct, a tram stop to the city out front or a short walk to Prahran Station (3 stops into Flinders St Station). Although close to Chapel Street, the apartment is set back in a quiet side street with hardy any noise or traffic. Other things to note We don’t have any parking, yet there is a really cheap all day secure parking place in the next street. Otherwise you can generally get a park after 6pm in an unmetered spot across the road. We also have a British Bulldog living with us, Toby. He is very friendly and super quiet. He doesn’t bark, jump and sleeps outside in his kennel at night. You will barely notice he is around as 90% of the time he is asleep. Loves a walk if you're a dog person though.
