So for $150 you essentially get a 2 bedroom apartment located 5 mins from central gong with only 1 close neighbour and two awesome roommates!!! Currently, the room is minimally furnished with a desk and a bed and comes with decent sized built in wardrobes. We have a washing machine, a fridge, ironing board, a yard glass and all of the essentials so no need to worry. Just when you thought it couldn’t get better the house is situated back from the road, with plenty of greenery and has only one close neighbour. The house is in an awesome location, in Coniston which is a 5 min drive to the centre of Wollongong. The train station is a 2min walk away and there is a bus stop across the road. It is also quick and easy to get on the highway. Figtree Grove shopping centre is a 5 min drive and a similar distance to other shopping centres in Wollongong (Aldi, Woolworths). There are lots of delivery services available too, just in case of a junk food craving. The house has 4 bedrooms- you would have one and me another. There are two spares, which you would be welcome to use for visitors or if you wanted to set up a study. The bedroom for rent looks quite small in the pics (it was hard to take a photo) but it would easily fit a queen/even a king with room for a desk, drawers and anything else you might need. It has a large built in with that contains drawers and good hanging space. The dimensions of the room are 3.6x3.3m. It is a beautiful light filled, sunny room with a fan. It has a tv port and a tv available if wanted. There is also a sunroom, which could serve as separate living area. The bathroom would be shared however, it is a bit of a funny old house with two extra toilets in the laundry. So you could have a toilet all of your own but would need to share the bathroom for the shower. There is an off street parking in the driveway or street parking. Water is included in the rent but other bills (electric, gas and internet) would be split. If you have no furniture, I do have a single bed frame (no mattress) and other bits and pieces that could be used to fill the room.

We both studied at the University of Wollongong and made the short commute via bus. We were originally a bit hesitant to live off of campus being in a new country but quickly found we made the right decision. The bus stop to get to uni is just a short walk from the cabin which makes the trip to uni around 20 minutes or less. A major benefit of the cabin was how much cheaper it is to stay there with two people versus staying on campus in the dorms. The quaint cabin was spotless and fully stocked with everything we needed. Mark and Kelly encouraged us to use their downstairs living space as a study area. This came in so handy when we didn’t want to take a bus to the library. They also graciously welcomed us into their kitchen multiple times per week to utilize their full sized kitchen when the weather didn’t allow for us to BBQ outside on our private deck. Mark and Kelly are such amazing hosts going above and beyond anything we could have ever hoped for. In a few short months they have turned into lifelong friends. Simply follow the footpath up to the backyard, your private entry is via the back gate (you will have to navigate a number of steps to get to the cabin as the cabin is significantly above street level). Once you've arrived and settled in, sit back and relax on your own private deck amongst the trees. We have travelled extensively and know what we do and don't like about accommodation we have previously stayed in. The house is all new and always clean. The rooms are very spacious and there is a big balcony. We have chrome cast and the living rooms are all furnished. We also have a laundry that is furnished. The property is a beautiful two-storey house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We use two bedrooms of the house (one is the home library) and you will have the master bedroom is extremely spacious! It is around the size as the living room (if not bigger) and it is right next to the upstairs bathroom; there is also a massive amount of closet space. There is a queen mattress, sheets, blanket and hangers available for your own use. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom is newly renovated. Every room is well-lit with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and city. Before deciding to lease the house, we viewed many properties to find our dream house, and this one was without a doubt the one that ticked all the boxes. All communal living spaces will be furnished i.e. the living room and dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped, however, since I enjoy cooking and have extensive experience with meal prep, healthy meals can be provided with an additional cost, perfect for full time workers and students short on time. The property is next to a bus stop, which can take you to Wollongong station in under 10 minutes and UOW in under 7 minutes. The place is a 2 story townhouse, 5-10 mins walk to CBD, close to the beach with a nice patio / entertaining area. 1 bathroom, 1 toilet/laundry. Single space garage (currently being used for storage and laundry on cloudy days, but that can be changed if need be).
