My flat is amazing, it is located in a wonderful location close to a train station, shops and great cafes. It is nestled in the back of the property and is very private and safe. The flat also has a full size laundry which is a bonus add. There is a generous size courtyard where you can sit and relax, the courtyard also has a second toilet which is attached to laundry. The flat includes Netflix, Stan and a great new flat screen TV in the living room. There is a spilt system aircon and heat in the living room and a garage for some storage.
After a few years in this Ormond share house a few of us are saying goodbye, so there's a three rooms available (as of 17/05) in this big ol' place. This is perfect for a group of 2, heck even 3 pals or a handful of miscellaneous outcasts who like great value rental properties. People: Although a few of us are leaving, this has typically been a student house, so preferred candidates are early-mid twenties but anyone can apply. Location: It's a pretty good spot, a stone’s throw away from the Ormond town centre and train station if you’ve got an incredible throwing arm, otherwise it’s about a 4-minute walk - although there’s a servo an actual stone’s throw away. The station is on the Frankston line, taking you directly to Flinders street in less time than it takes you to watch an episode of 'Roseanne'. If you’re at Monash, there’s also a bus about 100m away that’ll take you to Clayton campus (plus a bus to Chadstone), then Caulfield campus is just two-stops from here on the train. The rooms: As of 17/05, there's three rooms available. One (of two) upstairs rooms available and two downstairs (of three). Each level has a lounge area and a bathroom. Large bedroom downstairs: $625pm I think technically the master bedroom. The bedroom itself is big but it's attached to it is a disproportionately large walk-in wardrobe - it's huge, there's even windows, it currently has a desk and an electric drum kit in it. It's also next to a bathroom (so kind of an ensuite if you're an optimist). Small bedroom downstairs: $533pm It’s a bit of an unique room. I think the story is that it’s a converted art studio. There’s three separate doors, which is great if you value fire-code adherence. It’s a reasonable size, so you can fit a queen size bed in providing you’re happy to sacrifice one of the three doors completely opening. Built in storage. It’s also on a different end of the house to the four other rooms, so there’s a lot of privacy. One upstairs rooms: both $595 pm Decent sized room, carpeted, have built in cupboards and gets a nice amount of sun. Pets: There are no pets at the moment but our lease states we’re allowed one dog, so a dog is welcome, if not encouraged. Bills: Split evenly, most are quarterly, less than $50 each month on average. Unlimited internet, $12 each per month. Parking: the carport hold two cars, plus there's always all day parking spot available on the street. Furnishing: The house has furniture but the bedrooms are all unfurnished. Important stuff: Bond is $569.20 for each room. Everyone in the house will be on the lease which ends 04/12/19 (possibly with the option of renewing). We're looking to fill the rooms asap, but more realistically, from the start of June.
