The time has come for our lovely Parkville sharehouse to find another awesome housemate. The room is nestled in a light-filled and inviting two-level townhouse in Parkville. The room on offer is the largest in the house at approximately 4.3 x 3.3 metres. The house is fully furnished (including a washing machine and dishwasher) but the room available is unfurnished. It would ideally suit someone looking to live close to Melbourne University, Brunswick or the city for work, study or just being in the middle of all the excitement you can find being so close to the CBD. It has built in robes (approx. 2.4x0.6m size). Opposite these is a window-filled wall which includes two large openable and fly-wired windows for plenty of fresh air. The ground floor comprises an open plan living and dining area and includes a 32" LED HDTV and a variety of gaming consoles both new and old, as well as a kitchen which is fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances you could want (microwave, water filter, sodastream, rice cooker to name a few). There is also a separate/2nd toilet and a spiral staircase that leads upstairs. The upstairs comprises three bedrooms, a tiled bathroom with two sinks, separate shower and bath as well as a laundry with a washing machine and toilet. The house is double brick so there is very little traffic noise from Royal Parade. The living/dining area opens onto a reasonable-sized rear garden/courtyard area that also includes a small lockable storage area. The townhouse is only a 5 minute walk to the Barkly Square shops near Brunswick Rd and there is easy access to public transport (1 minute walk to trams stops and 10 minutes walk to the train station and bus stops). We are also on two Nightrider bus routes (along with the hourly all-night trams on the weekend) for late-night city fun (it's only a forty minute stroll or twenty minute bicycle ride from Flinders St at the worst case). None of us have a car and there is a covered parking space outside the front door, as well as guest parking at the back of the property. Located across the road from Royal Park & Royal Children's Hospital, apartment is a 15 minute walk to Melbourne University, outside are the 57, 58 & 59 trams - a 5 minute ride into the city. Also there's an IGA supermarket 2 blocks away. 10 mins walk to more shops in North Melbourne, cafes, etc. It's a 20 minute walk to the edge of the city.
