You do not need to rent out both, just the one you prefer. This is most likely for a short term stay (6 weeks), as the lease is up and we might have to be out by the end of July. There is a chance for longer stay but I would say it's low odds. $185 per week which includes all bills, and decent unlimited internet. Access to all common area things too, such as washing machine, kitchen stuff etc. Furnished room: Has a double bed and drawers, small bedside table and desk. High ceilings. The basic necessities, but great for a traveller looking for a short stay. About the same size as the other one on offer. Unfurnished room: Has quite large built in robes/shelves for storage or clothes. The room measures in at about 3.5m x 3.5m. High ceilings. You'd need to furnish your own room, but everything else in the house common areas is available to you (unless you had stuff you wanted to add). House: The house is a 3 bedroom house, with one room shared by a couple, one furnished room for rent (it's about the same size maybe a bit bigger) and one unfurnished room. The house has a nice little front lawn, 2 lounge rooms (for some reason) with one of them being attached to a fairly spacious kitchen. The lounge room attached to the kitchen is pretty far away from the rooms, so is great to separate the night owls from the early birds. Unfortunately no dishwasher, and only the one bathroom/toilet. Pretty tiny paved back courtyard as well. There is also a nice garage out the back which we don't use for parking as it's a bit hard to get into. We treat it as another room, or for storage. Location: Just off bell street. Short drive to woolies and train station (probably a 10/15 minute walk otherwise). Shorter walk to trams heading up and down Melville road. Pets: We have a cat, so please only contact us if you're tolerant of them. I'm more of a dog person myself, but the cat's alright (it doesn't do much) in my book. Real estate says no dogs unfortunately. About you: If you're interested, the room/s are pretty much available now so please send me an email with a little bit of information about yourself. We are just off Sydney Road at the top end of Coburg. About 500m from the nearest train station (Merlynston) which takes just under 30mins to get to Southern Cross. The house is in a pretty tranquil setting, with parks and trees surrounding it. The room is on the smaller side but easily fits a double bed and desk + it has built in robes with mirrors (super flashy)! Plus if you have a car, the secure garage is completely yours! You would be sharing the downstairs bathroom with one other (Kate). The whole house is brand new and is situated right next to a huge dog park! There is also a baseball field and a running/walking track along the Merri Creek. Our next door neighbours are all lovely and up for a chat anytime. Two rooms (including yours) are downstairs with a shared bathroom and small outside area. Upstairs is the open plan kitchen, dining, living area and a good sized balcony with a BBQ. Another bedroom is upstairs, just off the kitchen. It's all pretty modern and easy to keep clean. Welcome to our cosy Coburg home! Our cute little house in Coburg is just off Sydney road, close to both Batman and Coburg stations, and a 2 minute walk to the 19 tram. 3 Coles and a Woolworths close by, as well as delicious falafel and middle eastern fare. The available room is the largest in the house. It has beautiful stained glass, outward opening windows overlooking the front yard. There is AC to keep you cosy no matter the weather, and a non-functional fireplace for all your decorative needs. There is plenty of room for all sorts of furniture, including a desk and clothes racks and heck, chuck a couch in there while you're at it. The house itself is a beautiful space to come home to at the end of the day. We have a cat and dog who are always happy to see you, and the open plan living/kitchen area is perfect for post-work/uni lounging and Netflix. We have a back yard that we plan to put some love into in the coming months, and a front porch that is perfect come summer evenings. We all contribute to the cleaning of the house with a cleaning roster. We'd appreciate a housemate who's willing to join in and keep the house clean.
I have one room available in two bedroom villa. The unit is in an ideal location, a short 8 minute walk to Oak Park train station, and situated in a quiet neighbourhood on the west side of Pascoe Vale road. Only 11km and 20-25 minute train ride from the city. The room is good sized, freshly painted and has brand new carpet. It has a ceiling fan and contains a huge triple doored built in wardrobe. It is currently unfurnished but I may be able to furnish it with a single bed. Rent is $150 dollars per week and excludes bills. The unit itself is cozy, fully furnished and has ducted gas heating throughout and a split system in the lounge. Small backyard with BBQ, patio and seating. Plus a front and back garden. Occasionally I like to grow my own veggies. Plenty of street parking is available. You can enjoy the views while being inside the house, leaning back on the couch, working at the desk or seating at the dining table. The house is one minute by bicycle (500 m) to a splendid bike path (Monee Ponds Creek) that goes uninterrupted all the way to the city. We can lend you a push bike or two to enjoy it. There are plenty of parking spots in the street. There is a garage you can use if you want to store your car in the long term (access to the garage is not easy because the climb is steep); There is plenty of space to store things in the cellar. There is a large capacity gas heater in the lounge. The house has a large garden where you can sun bake or have a BBQ. Your room has a queen size bed, a large wall wardrobe, electric blankets and a heater. There is one bathroom and one toilet in two separate rooms that you will be sharing with two other occupants. There is washing machine, iron, vacuum cleaner, fridge, slow cooker, stove, oven, cappuccino coffee maker, American coffee maker, coffee grinder, microwave, vitamiser, toaster, etc., that you are welcome to share with the rest of the house mates. No TV but you can use our large computer, screen and speakers to enjoy movies, TV programs or music; no dishwasher. LONG TERM (MORE THAN 3 MONTHS) RATES: ________ One Person: $145 per week, plus $25 bills (total: $170 per week) in a private room. Couple: $210 per week, plus $30 bills (total $240 per week) sharing the room. “Couple” refers to two friends, each willing to be responsible for both. Pet: Extra charge - to be assessed. The rooms are available from now on for short term lease (minimum one month). Internet access, electricity, gas, water, use of our washing machine and enjoyment of all the common areas of the house are included in the totals. There is a 2 weeks bond. The amount includes the total, i.e., $170 or $240 SHORT TERM (LESS THAN 3 MONTHS) RATES ________ Single room : $190 per week per one person in a queen size bed, plus a cleaning fee of $40 per stay. Double room : $260 per week per couple sharing a queen size bed, plus a cleaning fee of $40 per stay. Communal duties include cleaning after yourself and sharing the common areas cleaning.
