We are looking for two SARBB's (single, active, retired baby boomers) to join our small self-sustainable community on a lush 5 acre farm and rain forest, 20 minutes north of Noosa, close to Lake Cootharaba. Each of the 7 comfortable newly built cabins offer a large living area including ensuite and private patio. Communal areas consist of a delightful Living Pavilion with breezeways and living and dining spaces, a winter-room with fireplace, indoor/outdoor gas and wood fired kitchens, pantry room, tea/coffee kitchen, TV lounge and a visitor's suite. Undercover car parking is available and we have a half cabin cruiser for fishing the local lakes, Noosa River and outside on a calm day. Of the six jobs to be done on the farm; the fruit and veggie gardener is Rose, the fisher is Andy, the kitchen manager who oversees the food and essentials stores and does the communal shopping is Michelle and the small animal carer is Karen. We are hopeful of attracting a panty cook and a handyman. The pantry cook will do the preserving, drying, smoking and dehydrating of the farm's produce for latter consumption and the handyman will do the small repair jobs and maintenance of the communal buildings. Ideally you will be a SARBB, a single, active, retired, baby boomer, but these details are flexible for the right person.
