The house is less than a 15 minute walk from the train station straight into the city, with buses going to Carindale and the city from the door. We are also very close to the Cannon hill and Carindale shopping centers by bus or car for all your shopping and public transports needs. The street is a main road and there is plenty of space for on street parking, there is also a space for off-street parking which we are more than happy to discuss. The Rooms The room available is quite large and comfortable. All the rooms have space for a queen bed or larger as well as a desk. There are two bathrooms in the property, one is an ensuite attached to Matt and Liv's room. The house is also well located around the corner from one of Brisbane's best coffee shops Blue poppy (Slight bias). The House The place is huge with a kitchen and dining fused as well as a large upstairs deck which is great in the evening for a drink. The kitchen has a dishwasher which you can add to your list of pros as well as a large bench top for all your cooking needs. As well as this the house has some storage space, which we are more than happy to discuss storing anything and everything in. The need to knows We don't currently live in this property yet, but we are picking up keys on the 18th of June and looking for some great new housemates. There have been 4 of us happily living here for the last year but now one of our group has bought a property (congrats!) and the other is going to live with their best friend. They can provide references for all the good times we've had :) There are two of us still here (females in our late 20s, early 30s) and so we're looking to fill two of the rooms in this house. One room is downstairs next to the bathroom ($155 available from 14th July) and one room is upstairs ($170 available from the end of July). There is one garage car spot available for an extra $10 per week rent - the street parking is unlimited however. One of the upstairs rooms (taken already) has an ensuite so the remaining 3 rooms in the house, including the two available share the bathroom with a bath. We're all pretty friendly and relaxed :) Most of the main furniture items are already brought by the current housemates (fridge, washing machine, dining table, coffee table) but we're still looking for the odd thing here and there (pantry, couches, dining table and chairs) which will be taken by the departing housemates. You will be required to apply to sign onto the new lease if your application is successful - the bond is $670. NOTE - the current lease is ending and the property is currently for sale. It is possible that they will wish to end the tenancy but we will receive at least 2-3 months notice beforehand - it is also quite possible the new owners will wish to renew the lease.
