Although this is a 5 bedroom house, it doesn't feel like it. The house is fairly big and it only happens on rare occasions that everyone is home and you see everyone. The house is located on a main street, however, once inside you don't hear the traffic. The room comes with unlimited internet and all bills included. There are fans in the bedrooms and aircon in both living spaces. The bathroom is currently shared with 2 people (a couple) but are both pretty quick in the bathroom. This bathroom also has a separate toilet. There is a large backyard and balcony at the back of the house. The house is also close to many public transport options. A bus stop around the corner, then more about a km away and a train station within walking distance. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to the city with close access to both the gateway motorway and the M3.
Hello everyone ! I'm listing for my room located in Morningside. Besides the good price, the house is located in a quiet area of Morningside. Bus stop is 3mn away (Route 214 / 215 / 220), and it takes about 20mn to get to the city. And if you're a nightbird, the Uber is about 10-12$ to get to the city :) Coles, Woolworths are about less than 10 minutes away from home, or if you're in an emergency, there's a convenient store at the corner of the street. About the house, it's a mix of student and workers, everyone minds his or her own business, but there's still the casual chat when we bump into each other in the kitchen. About the room itself, the good thing is that there's plenty of sunlight, and you easily feel cosy when you're settled there. The bedroom is furnished, containing : queen bed + built-in wardrobe + bed desk + little cupboard. Concerning the bills : It's 165$/week Bond is 4 week rent so 165 x 4 = 660$ + 2 weeks rent (330$) Internet is 16$ / month Gas is about 16$ / month And electricity bill is paid every 3 month, and split evenly between the roomates, and is about 80$/person Also, I'm quite flexible concerning the day you would like to move in. The room is furnished with a small shelf and a queen sized bed, but can be removed if you have your own. There is also extra furniture available for an extra $10 fortnight. Towels/handtowels/face washers, sheets and pillows can be provided at no extra cost. Prefer long term as we are all long term but will accept short term, as long as you find a tenant to replace you it won't be an issue. Ducted airconditioner with a ceiling fan, and you will be sharing a bathroom with 2 other people, both are very tidy - the photos of the bathroom is the normal state that it is in. The house is really good located 15 minutes walking to the Morningside Train Station, or a bus stop just in the corner. Also, you have two big shopping centres: Morningside and Cannon Hill near the house. Bills are shared and include gas, electricity and unlimited optic fibre internet, amounting to about $15 per week max (during winter for the ducted heating). There is also a schedule to take out the bins, buy kitchen and bathroom consumables and clean the house. The house is a 2-storey house with 5 bedrooms, 1 of them which needs to be rented out. The house also features an open living plan style kitchen leading outside to a patio and backyard area with a pool. The room comes fully furnished with queen bed, beside, wardrobe and study desk. It’s 10 minutes drive from QUT Gardens Point, 15 minutes drive away from QUT Kelvin Grove and around 20-25 minutes away UQ and Griffith Nathan Campus. We have found a great house in Norman Park. It has timber floor all around (no dirty carpets!), three large bedrooms with large built-in closets, air-con throughout the house, many off-street parking spots (at least three), a large covered deck, a nice garden and even a small studio at the back! We have signed the lease and will be moving in on the week-end of the 3rd/4th of February, however the house will be empty before then (doing some renovation) so we will be able to organise visits. The house (and the rooms) are unfurnished, however we do own a lot of common-space furniture (fridge, washing machine, very nice leather couch, table and chairs, outdoor BBQ, etc.) so whether or not you have furniture to bring is not important (except for the bedroom, you'll need to sort that ourself but we can definitively help). Bills (electricity, water and internet) are not included in the rent and will be split 4 ways. Since we have not moved in the place yet, I can not give a definitive amount for bills, but in my experience it should be around 20$ per person and per week. We love animals but sadly Bertrand is allergic to cats and dogs so no pets - sorry!
