This centrally-located flat is spectacular value for money. You'll be situated right in the heart of the city, only a five-minute walk to the beautiful Newcastle beach and break wall, less than 50m to the nearest cafes, bars and shops; bus-stops, and a stone's throw away from the light-rail. 48 Newcomen is beautifully positioned about 2 minutes from Newcastle Beach and 2 minutes from Queens Wharf - ideal for the tram, CBD, uni and Interchange. We literally back on to the cathedral which is a magnificent backyard but we're still closed off enough we don't get much foot traffic. It's awesome. It's a 5 bedroom sharehouse with a front yard, a back courtyard, lounge room, mezz level, back dining room, 2x bathrooms and a laundry. Plenty of space, we've been managing with 4 people but are willing to open up the 5th room if there's enough interest. We've got the lounge room mostly furnished but once the last 2 roommates leave they'll be taking their furniture with them so we might need to get some more tables, chairs and appliances for the new lease but we're happy to go in on that stuff. We've got the fridge, washer/dryer and other basics sorted. Wi-fi is good all through the house (~$30/month) and power/water are quarterly.
