We have one regular sized bedroom available at our almost new house at Darra. Room comes furnished with a near new Queen Sized bed as well, courtesy of the landlord. Situated within convenient walking distance from a central transport hub, this little gem is perfect for someone who wants to be able to commute easily to Brisbane, Ipswich, Springfield, or Mount Ommaney Shopping Centre. There are many express trains towards the city in the morning, and it’s only a 20min ride on one to get to central station. Every express train going to Brisbane, Ipswich or Springfield, stops at Darra on the way there. You’ll be spoiled for choice. Are you a UQ student like me? I catch an express train to Indro, then a bus to uni. It only takes 30 mins, if you time it right. Regular buses leave from the station to Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre. The Darra train station is the perfect distance from our house. Close enough to be convenient, far enough away that train noises are not an issue. Its about 5 minutes walk from our door to the platform. Our street is almost completely residential, the only exception being the council depot next to us, which is actually a very quiet neighbor. There are shops nearby, including Woolworths and ALDI, which are both about 10 minutes walk from here, or about 3mins on your bike.
