Three big bedrooms opening up for lease on the 19th of February; solar power is pretty cool. The house is in New Farm, near the New Farm cinema and Night Owl complex on Brunswick St. There are bars, cafes, Coles, IGA, post office, bottle-o, heaps of restaurants, gym, New Farm Park and a Macedonian orthodox church (if you're so inclined) all located within walking distance. Rent is $200/w for each room, and bond is $700. All rooms available for up to a year. In the past housemates have contributed $20 each week on top of rent into the "house account" (with a communal debit card attached). This account then had enough to pay all bills (water, gas, unlimited internet and electricity is free as we have solar). Additionally, when items needed to be purchased for the house (toilet paper, washing detergent etc), you can use this card and it automatically splits the cost between us all so there’s no arguments or fights.
