A furnished room in a cute three-bedroom cottage is available on a short-term or long-term, two blocks from the train, with the 265 bus stop across the street. You can get to Wynyard in 15 minutes from your front door if you time it right. It's in a freestanding house/cottage with a small front yard, backyard and private deck. Looking for someone who will enjoy a glass of wine while watching Netflix every now and then... but please be know this isn't a "party house" ;) I'd prefer to see the flat as a sanctuary, rather than a spot for entertaining guests every week. There's a cafe two doors down, a couple of restaurants and shops at the train station (2 minutes walk), and a tiny wee beach and a lovely marina a half block away and down some steps. We have a weekly cleaning service that comes to keep the flat tidy.... this is included in the rent. Rent includes all utilities (unlimited internet, Netflix, Fetch TV, water, gas, electric), as well your share of the cleaning service. (The only thing it doesn't include is your share of basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels etc., which are split) So all told rent is $350/week ... or for couples it would be $400/week. I should also mention that the property owner has an application before the North Sydney council to redevelop this place. But there's still a lot of permits they need and approval, if granted, is at least four months away "if not longer" (according to property manager). If approval was granted we would have 90 days to find a new place. So we should be free to live here until September, if not longer. There's plenty of off-street parking, not that you necessarily need it with the train so close. I haven't bothered to get a residential parking permit ($52/year and available online) as there's a street nearby where you don't need it. The rooms has a bed, a small table, a wardrobe, and drawers under the bed.

The House has lovely elevated water views directly westward over Balls Head reserve (the pictures on the listing are from the front balcony). There is a rail line in front but this is not used, ie. it is not an operating line (it is some kind of backup in case trains get stuck in the city). The House looks directly out to the Water. The House is situated within the lovely connected parkways fringing the Inner North Shore, and the Balls Head Nature reserve. Its a really nice place to go for a run, get some sun, or have a picnic. North Sydney Pool is very close, and there are plenty of sailing clubs to crew at nearby. Its very close to North Sydney but is very quiet and peaceful. The views from the main living area look directly over the bay. The available Bedroom has timber floorboards, is very large (probably suit a couple), and a very large window with direct water views and easy access to the newly renovated bathroom. The House itself is a character house, lovely polished timber floors throughout and terrazo, modern furnishing, and is very clean. There is a smaller third bedroom I would like to use as a guest bed & study area. Only a short walk to North Sydney station, bars and cafes along blues point road.
