Its close to buses north/south, some buses have bike racks to carry it close to your destination. Local Curtin shopping a few minutes walk.... I have only gone to a cafe Red Brick and a local area produce store. There is a Coles, hotel (pub), pharmacy, AusPost/news agency and a gym. The area centre Woden has more services. From here Canberra Hospital, Deakin Offices/Medical, Barton Offices, Parliament Triangle, Lake, Downtown Canberra, Airport, nature etc are minutes away. We're in a very central location within a short walking distance of Curtin Shops with cafe's supermarket, pub & gym. The bus stop going to the city is pretty much on our doorstep, making it a easy commute for work, if this is your preferred mode of transport. The house is fully furnished with a deck and BBQ out back. You have the choice of two spare rooms and can be either furnished or unfurnished. You would have use of the main bathroom to yourself with a shower and a bath as we have the ensuite. The house has ducted gas heating and we have foxtel hooked up to the main TV in the living room.
My unit is across the road from Curtin shops. There is a 24 hour gym, Coles, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors, dentists, bottleshop, a couple of coffee shops and take-away shops as well as an organic fruit and veg shop. The unit has recently had both bedrooms and the bathroom completely renovated and made to look more modern and spacious. The room for rent is very big with high ceiling and a lot of natural light. It currently fits a queen size bed and a chest of drawers for clothes. A desk could also fit however I do not have one in there. Since the photos were taken a few shelfs have been added above the bed and a large tall boy has been placed in the room for clothes storage. The lounge-room is very spacious and open. The kitchen is slightly less modern (I will be renovating later in the year). The unit has a bus stop across the road which takes you into directly Barton (15 min bus ride) or the city (25 minutes). Please note I will only accept 3 months (or shorter) leases. I will not be able to provide accommodation for longer than that.

This townhouse is amazingly located – within walking distance of the old Kingston shops, the lake, Brodburger and the old bus depot markets (in fact you can pretty much see all those things from the driveway). It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living area, and a pretty large modern kitchen. It also has a great courtyard – perfect for brunch in the sunshine, or dinner parties in summer. The house has central heating, air-con in the living rooms, and ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms. The house has pretty much everything necessary in it already, although more is welcome! The bedroom is unfurnished and will share a large bathroom (complete with a spa (!)). It comfortably fits a queen bed and has a built-in cupboard, plus more storage in the hall. You'll get to live about as downtown as can be in Canberra, right next to the Canberra Centre. One of the best things about living here is that in summer it feels like you're in a tree house, given that the treetops are all around and the room itself has large windows (in fact, the outer wall is all window). However, given that it's winter right now you'll have to wait a couple months for that experience. The room can get a bit cold in winter due to the many windows. There's a big living area with a nice view, the apartment and the furnishings are modern. You'll share a bathroom with one other roommate (a girl), and the kitchen is shared by three people. The room itself fits a bed and a desk and has plenty of closet space. The previous tenant has a bed and desk already there that they'd like to sell to the new tenant. The rent is $875 per month. Internet is $20 per month per person, and the only other recurring bill is the power bill which is around $150 per quarter per person. There is a 12-month contract minimum.
