I am posting on behalf of my father, an 84-year-old man who lives independently in his own home in Anglesea in Victoria. He manages most things himself and still drives, but would benefit from having someone living in the house for companionship and light household help.
This is a home-share arrangement, not a job and not a carer role.
The home

The arrangement
In exchange for free accommodation, the right person would:
• Help with some general housework
• Do laundry
• Cook some (not all) meals
• Be around most evenings for company

• Mature woman preferred (45+ ideal)
• Reliable, independent, and considerate
• Comfortable sharing a home with an older person
• Not looking for a romantic relationship — this is strictly a home-share / companion arrangement
You would be free during the day to work part-time or pursue your own interests.
A written home-share agreement will be used, and a police check is required. This approach has worked well in the past.
