Watch ships traverse the inside passage along the Great Barrier Reef from home. Check the tide and beach conditions - mirrired seas or a litle bit of surf? If its windy the kite surfers will be out. Flags are up for the Surf Life Savers at the stinger net? Time for a swim.
Sleep and wake to the sound of waves on the shore. Sit up in bed or on your deck listening to the ocean and summer chirping of cicadas. Spot rowdy red tailed cockatoos who fly in to chew beach almonds. Pull on your swimmers, throw a towel over your shoulder and walk barefooted to the beach for a swim. Float around on your back gazing up at the hill that is Yorkeys Knob. Watch the sunrise over Cape Grafton. Hop out, take a fresh beach shower, dry off and go for coffee and breakfast at the beach cafe.
Practically speaking, your bedroom is a light , airy king sized room. Your stunning antique French walnut double bed has a new, comfortable, thick latex non-allergenic mattress. The bed is beautifully made with designer linen and European pillows. Floor to ceiling mirrored double wardrobe doors make the room bigger and give hanging and shelving space. There are bedside tables, desk, chair, sofa, chest of drawers and a smart TV.
You have a private entry and your own deck for hanging out with your laptop, coffee and a book. Your big, renovated private bathroom has great shower water pressure. When you're not at the beach, dip in the saltwater pool. The studio is air conditioned. WiFi is included. You have a kitchenette and laundry with washing machine.
Your room and the home are fully furnished and equipped, including linen. Everything you need is here. Just bring your suitcase, togs and a toothbrush. Look forward to pouring you a glass of wine on the front deck and sharing travel stories.

Hello there, welcome to beautiful Yorkeys Knob, you lucky thing. Living here is Heaven. I love this peaceful tropical beach lined with rainforest. The bird life never gets old. Watch red tailed black cockatoos, kookaburras and Willie wagtails and listen to curlews cry at night. Walk across to the beach for a walk and swim in the stinger net. Swim in the slt water pool. Local beach cafe for pizza and a beer. Wander around barefooted and only wear shoes when leaving Yorkeys:)
I am a PhD in marine scientist who scuba dives all over the world and can tell you the best boats and places to dive the Great Barrier Reef. Get up before dawn to paddle outrigger canoes right here in Yorkeys, run on the beach and swim laps in the stinger net. Hang out with friends at local cafes and the gorgeous Yorkeys Boat Club or drive to Trinity or Palm Cove for dinner. So much to enjoy in Yorkeys. You won't want to leave home.
