About the property
This is a lovely, homely, medium sized 3 bedroom, 2 story townhouse in a block of units.
The room available (3x3m2) is one of two upstairs, near the kitchen and lounge. You will have your own built-in wardrobe and small en-suite bathroom. Let us know if you'll bring your own furniture or not.
The spacious lounge room has a large, comfy couch and the kitchen is well equipped. The upstairs house gets warm in summer, but there is air conditioning and a sea breeze can come through the windows.
There is no backyard, but a nice balcony (byo plants!) with a view and nearby bushland/parks.
The house is in a quieter suburban part of Southport, halfway between the Broadwater area and Griffith uni. Bus stops (eg to Griffith) are a 2 min walk away, and tram line a 15 min walk. There is a garage space available if you have a car.
Great place for students - the house has often had medical/health students living in it, but anyone is welcome. Looking for someone clean, respectful, relaxed and sociable. Smoking/drug use strictly not allowed.

About the flatmates
I'm Tomas, a medical student at Griffith Uni, and looking forward to start my second year in 2021. I'm 24, gay, originally from Melbourne, and moved up here at the start of 2020.
I love food and cooking lots of nice things at home, as well as going to eat out. I also like music, piano, choir singing, arts, travel, nature, culture. I'm more of an introvert, and being still fairly new to the GC and with covid, don't know a great deal of people (won't be hosting any parties here), so would be nice to hang out with a future housemate!
It is very likely the other housemate will be Sam. He'll be new to the house too, in the one downstairs bedroom. He is a friend of a current housemate moving out.
I'm Sam, a 24 year old starting work as a junior doctor in 2021. I'm a Gold Coast local, having lived here for over 15 years. I love watching movies/shows, playing video games + board games, playing basketball, exercise, meeting new people, trying new things, eating new foods and exploring new places. I've traditionally been quite introverted but have gradually become more of a people person over the last few years.
The two outgoing housemates are David, a medical student moving home to Perth, and Brita, an intern pharmacist.
We're looking for someone non-messy, non-smoker, sociable and friendly with other housemates, and also respectful of other people. We'd prefer a female to balance out our household but are welcoming to absolutely anyone! This place would suit a student or young person well. Looking forward to meeting people in person, or if travelling here is an issue (ie interstate), via video call.
