Hi – thanks for your interest in the Happy House.
We have 2 rooms available now. 1 is medium sized and the other is a large ensuite room.
If you want to live in a central, peaceful, tidy and private house, this is the perfect place for you.
This unique custom-built large house is close to everything, relaxing, safe and a stable place to call home. It has a large outdoor hydrotherapy spa with 40 jets and coloured LED spa lights, which is perfect to relax in on a clear day or watch the stars at night.
Renovated and spacious, the house is near the Southport CBD, Griffith Uni, buses, Gold Coast Hospital and is a few-minute walk to the new Queen Street tram stop.
It has a large yard with many trees, which attracts a lot of native birds, particularly at sunrise and sunset. It has organic fruit trees, views to Southport and Surfers Paradise and sea breezes.
We have 6 chickens (producing free range eggs), two rescue cats, a dog and plenty of bird life. This is a conscious household where we respect each other's space.
The house is secure with intercom security, security cameras and large modern fence.
The medium sized room is $395 per week, which includes power, gas, water, wifi internet access and Foxtel in the living room.
The room is fully furnished with a double bed, linen, desk and built-in wardrobe, large window and is lockable for extra privacy. It has a shared bathroom & separate toilet.
The large ensuite room is $450 per week, which includes power, gas, water, wifi internet access and Foxtel in the living room.
It has a separate entrance to the house through a glass sliding door, its own bathroom, double built-in wardrobe and large window.
It is fully furnished with a timber sofa bed, drawers and fan.
The house has a reverse cycle air conditioner in a spacious living area with Foxtel, plus a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking, electric oven and dishwasher.
There is also some gym equipment on site.
A 2-week refundable security deposit is required in advance.
For a couple or 2 people in the ensuite room, the price is an extra $100 per week.
Minimum 3-month stay with 2 weeks notice after that. Would suit an employed person or student wanting long term, stable accommodation.
