We're looking for housemate for our share house near uni! It's a three bed, one bath house with big living spaces and plenty of room for storage. It's a ~10 minute walk to the UTas Sandy Bay campus, and ~20 minutes walk to shops. We value having a clean, tidy home, and hope you do too.
The room will be available from about February 10th. It's a bright, sunny room near the front of the house, and can come with the double bed in the photos. The rest of the house is fully furnished. The house can be pretty chilly over winter, but with an extra couple layers and an electric blanket, it's not too bad at all.
We're looking for someone clean, tidy and like-minded - we value having a clean home that we can feel comfortable using, and do a weekly clean of most things, and deeper cleans as needed. We enjoy being able to have a good chat, play a board game etc, so while we're not necessarily seeking instant besties, we'd love to find someone friendly who we can be comfortable around.
Rent is $182.5 a week, which includes internet and water, but not power, which is shared equally between us and paid monthly (our spring/summer bills have been $40-50 each per month). Maintaining the garden is our responsibility, but this is mainly just making sure nothing is too overgrown. The bond is $730, which is a month's rent. Due to a lease break (our lovely housemate is moving in with his partner :( ) we're subletting for 11 months (Jan 2027).

Hi! I'm Matilda. I'm 24 and am working full time at as a scientist at a utility company and sharing the main room of the house with my partner, Theo (24, halfway through a PhD in chemistry). Our housemate, Lou (27) recently started a PhD in marine sciences. In my free time, I read, sew, and go on walks or hikes. Theo is into sourdough baking (and other fermentation based consumables), music, and gardening. Lou spends his time playing volleyball and soccer, relearning piano and hiking. We tend to keep to ourselves, not often doing house dinners etc, but we enjoy having a good chat when we cross paths.
