About Me & the House

Hi, I’m Graeme, 38, recently out of a long-term relationship and looking for someone to share my home with me (and occasionally my two dogs).

I’m ideally looking for a stable, respectful housemate for around 12 months, though I’m open to a shorter 3-month arrangement if that suits the right person.

I work full-time Monday to Friday in the city as a WHS Advisor for a construction company, so I keep regular hours and a consistent routine. I’m usually up and out by 5:00 am and home around 4:30 pm. I’m clean, tidy, reliable, easy to live with, and value clear communication and personal space.

Outside of work I train regularly at the gym, enjoy hiking, and have been ticking off sections of the Bibbulmun Track. I’m social but low-key — I enjoy pub quizzes, a casual drink, and the occasional PS5 session, but this isn’t a party house.

The Dogs

I share two well-behaved, affectionate dogs with my ex. They’ll likely be with her more often as she works from home, but when they’re here they’ll have full run of the house (excluding bedrooms). They’re great with other dogs. I’m open to a housemate with a dog, subject to a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone gets along.

The Space

The home is a 4-bedroom house shared by only two people total, so there’s plenty of space and privacy. You’ll have two rooms for your exclusive use, ideal for a bedroom plus an office, storage, or guest space.

The house will have all core furniture, two fridge freezers (so plenty of food space), a garden, and separate air conditioning to the bedroom for individual comfort. I’m in the process of moving in and will upload better photos shortly. I’m flexible and happy to coordinate furnishings in the two rooms depending on how you’d like to use the space.

What I’m Looking For

I’m looking for a respectful, easy-going, and reliable housemate who’s clean, communicates well, and is comfortable sharing a home long-term. Someone who’s independent but also open to being a bit social — happy to chat, share the occasional meal or drink, or head out for a quiz or walk now and then, without any pressure.

Similar interests are a bonus (gym, hiking, being active, or just generally keeping busy), but not essential. FIFO or non-FIFO is absolutely fine — I’m flexible as long as we’re aligned on respect, cleanliness, and lifestyle.

Ideally you’re looking for a calm, adult household rather than a party house, and value personal space as much as a friendly, comfortable living environment.
