Highgate, Perth

The property is a historic home in Highgate with high ceilings, fireplaces (non-functional), jarrah floors, butt loads of character, and an unbeatable location. Happy to share use of everything in the home.

Bedroom:
You will have a 3.1m x 3.7m room with queen bed and side-tables, and large street-facing window. The room has a floor-to-ceiling robe with a full-length mirror. I might steal one section for storage (not a lot in the house).

The home has ducted evaporative AC, but not in this bedroom due to the pressed tin ceilings. I have slept here before with the window open and a fan (available for your use) and it is warm but very manageable - but may not be suitable for you if you’re sensitive to warm nights or street noise.

Kitchen/Laundry:
Gas stove w/exhaust, electric oven, microwave, toaster, nutribullet, aarke (sodastream), vacuum sealer, rice cooker, every coffee appliance you would ever need and then some, fridge that’s too big for two people, Brita water filter, and Miele washing machine (on outside deck).

Living/Study:
55" 4k OLED TV with Apple TV and various streaming services for your convenience; study desk + Herman Miller chair; more UE Boom speakers than you would ever need; upright (tuned!) piano; extendable dining table and chairs; robot vacuum/mop unit with auto-empty / dock wash station; Dyson stick vacuum (and hairdryer lol).

Shared Bathroom:
1x toilet, 1x shower, 1x basin, generous storage, no tub.

Backyard:
There is a large semi-covered deck with table and chairs, a naturally shaded garden, and a small covered shed. The back garden is slightly messier (compared to the picture) but is presentable. The front garden looks ✨ 😂

Location:
Within a ~750 metre radius: bus stops and train stations, Woolworths (5 min walk), 2x petrol stations, a deli / corner store, 2x awesome bakeries, gelato, wine-bars, bottle-o, franchise gym, pilates studios, and Beaufort St main strip.
Within a ~1km radius: fruit and veg market, local butchers, William St main strip, more wine bars, cafes, and restaurants, Hyde Park.
Within a ~2km radius: Beatty Park pool and City of Vincent and City of Perth public libraries.

Public transport / parking:
~350 metres to two popular bus routes including the 950 (to the CBD, SCGH, UWA)
~600 metres to East Perth Train Station

The house is “3 bed” but it is set up like a two bed to allow for more living space. There will only be two people living in the home (and sharing the bathroom).

Rate is $400/wk with bills included (water/electricity/gas/internet)
