About the property
The property is a unique rental in Slade Point, with dual living across the 2 levels so that the downstairs will be entirely yours! The only shared internal space will be the laundry - which is attached to your unit, but separated by a lockable door. We will also share the yard - which has a very productive mango tree, some banana trees, and a jackfruit tree! I am also looking forward to making some vegie / herb gardens once I'm settled.
Your unit has an open dining / lounge / living area as you walk in, attached to a small but functional kitchen complete with oven / stove / sink / fridge space.
There is a large bedroom with a freestanding wardrobe, and an ensuite bathroom.
You have 2 brand new air conditioning units - one in the bedroom, and one in the living space.
There is a patio in the back yard, which is not currently covered, but will be in Feb / March when a deck is built over it.
There is plenty of space to park in front of the property, off the street, but unfortunately no covered parking available.
Bills (electricity, water usage, internet) will be split between us.

About the flatmates
I am moving to Mackay from Brisbane, to work at Mackay Base Hospital. I will be living in the house with my 6 year old Border Collie, Delta, who is well-behaved and friendly, though slightly timid at first. When I'm not working I love to go on walks with Delta, explore nature, or catch up with friends over coffee or trivia.
I am quiet and clean, and looking for a housemate with similar values.
An ideal housemate to me would be:
- friendly and social, but also respectful of privacy
- an animal lover
- a non smoker / non-drug user / non heavy-drinker
- willing to help care for shared spaces (eg. yard)
- reliably employed
- ideally a woman of a similar age, but I am open to anyone so long as we get along and you meet the other criteria :)
