About the property
Amazing views and hopefully amazing people to enjoy them. The house is situated at the highest point in Alex Headland. There are beautiful views looking both north and south. It is about a 12 minute steep walk directly east to the Beach and Alex Surf lifesaving club. We maintain a friendly and relaxed environment. Ideally, our flatmates would be responsible, kind, considerate, clean and organised. The ideal flatmates would look after their private space and the common spaces as if it were their own home. The ideal flatmate would not use illicit drugs nor drink to excess. If you smoke, you would smoke outside away from Windows. Flatmates should respect the privacy and property of others, and maintain the security of the house by locking up although it is an exceptionally safe area. We are looking for friendly people to join the household, who can afford to pay the rent which includes all bills, and enjoy living in a safe, clean and comfortable home. Flatmate would be honest, exceptionally clean and reliable.

About the flatmates
We are a retired couple who are leaving to spend some time travelling. We used to have the house on short term holiday sites but this is problematic when we are absent. We are looking for a very responsible, organised, friendly and clean flatmate. Someone who cares about where they live, how they live and how they treat others they live with. We are looking for someone who is honest and reliable and will do what they say they will do. If you are a messy person or extremely relaxed about how clean your living space is, there is likely no need to apply. Our flatmate will preferably be working full-time, and will appreciate an orderly and very clean environment. There is a Japanese couple occupying the master bedroom. They both work full-time. They are exceptionally clean and quiet. They depart at the end of March. Then a single female Nurse with Queensland Health takes up occupancy. The main floor Flat is inaccessible as it is used for short term rental from time to time.
There are some minimal outdoor maintenance requirements that will be the shared responsibility between the two flatmates eg garbage pick up once per week and sweep leaves at side of house once per month to keep drains clean. From time to time, the odd piece of garbage blows into the yard which should be picked up. The grass will be mowed buy a Landscaper. The pool will be maintained by our pool person. There is the opportunity to earn a discount on rent by way of Airbnb cleaning of the main floor Flat but you have to know how to clean and have a good eye for detail.
