Greetings To My Upcoming Housemate(s):
Born in California. Love affair with Oz as a child. In 1967, age 22, immigrated, solo, on the Assisted Passage Scheme. (I still pronounce my "R's") ... My book/audio, "Down Under All Over: A Love Affair with Australia" contrasts 60's Oz with 1980's Oz.
As a tripple Sag, I love adventuring, which, in the 60's, included teaching--with no training--in Keith, SA, area school--hitching Oz-wide, up to India, exploring Afghanistan, being deported from Singapore.
Age 26 returned, to the US, for what was supposed to be "briefly". However, in my 30's, BIG surprise--diagnosed with MS. Who would have guessed what a "gift" MS could be? Prompting self-exploration/awareness, deep spiritual opening. I healed. Check my book/audio "Journey to Wholeness."
Turning 50, wanting to lighten up, joining improv classes, becoming addicted to the joy, creativity, connections, depths, healing power, surprises of spontaneity--leading to creating/ presenting "Power Of Play" (POP!), "Rambunctious Writing" joyshops for adults/kids/businesses/governments/medical/schools/etc groups Australia-wide, and private coaching for authors, presenters.
Which led to--of course--becoming: (1) a Joy Machine Parody Singer--i.e putting silly words to familiar tunes, (2) a hospital clown with Patch Adams in Russia---which led to teaching interested Aussies how to be "caring clowns"--prompting Sunshine Coast locals to form the "Coastal Caring Clowns" and Melbournians forming the "MCG" (Melbourne Clown Group).
Now--as a "wise"-- hahaha---elder, I'm curious to discover what / who / which wonderful, extraordinary rental housemate(s) and expansive experiences, opportunities" I'll be attracting.
Currently tossing out "seeds" of possiblities for sharing POP!, Rambunctious Writing, attracting Joy Machine Silly Singers, with--perhaps--my wonderful incoming housemate, and with more groups, families, parents, kids, retirees, as an easy, graceful/fun way to set aside mobiles, tech, government distractions and discover the ease, joy, power of coming together in connecting, creating, laughing, joy. --- CHEERS!!
