AVAILABLE 09 MARCH 2026 (interviews 7/8 March only) We are looking for a single person or two people known to each other to occupy our beautiful house for a long term period. Included in the rent are the two bedrooms downstairs (pictured) and one bathroom downstairs.
We may only be there during some school holidays (always 4 weeks across Dec/Jan with our 2 friendly cavoodle dogs) and long weekends (unlikely but notice given), as we live and work in Melbourne. So if you're looking to live by yourself (most of the time) this may be the place for you.
You'll have clean, fresh mountain air, great views, a National Park across the street, fresh tank water (only tank water - no town water... please save water but can be filled), a lake around the corner and a beach 15-20 minutes drive away. Our house is a 5 minute drive to both Landsborough and Mooloolah Valley; Maleny and Montville are 25 minutes away. There is plenty to do if you enjoy the great outdoors.
The house is fully furnished with most kitchen items as well. You will have access to the two downstairs bedrooms. The larger bedroom can have a very comfy queen size bed and chest of drawers if needed. The second bedroom has a desk and office chair that can be moved out if needed. Both bedrooms have reverse cycle heating and air-conditioning. There is a washing machine inside a recently renovated bathroom. The kitchen is recently re-conditioned.
Living and dining room furniture (with Smart Television) must remain in the house.
The enormous outdoor deck has a table, chairs and deck chairs, spectacular views, and beautiful birds (if you offer them some seed). Surrounding the house are beautiful gardens. Someone who is interested in an occasional tinker in a garden would be perfect for this setting. All lawns and edges are mowed weekly/fortnightly by the woman who lives in the separate cabin on the property, but some assistance in keeping the gardens around the house tidy and some weeding is expected. There's two uncovered spaces on the cement slab in front of the garage. A small amount of storage in the garage can be negotiated if you need - 1 car space in the garage is possible upon arrangement.
Bonus = the house will also have a new roof (installed early March 2026).

My partner and I live in Melbourne, both working full-time. We like to stay at our property at Mooloolah Valley during most school holidays. Therefore, a couple or single person as a "flatmate" (sole tenant) who is happy for us to occasionally use the upstairs bedroom (with its own bathroom) for 3-4 weeks stays is ideal.
Ideally we're looking for flatmates from the end of September 2024.
We are a clean, tidy and responsible couple. We are generally quiet and respectful of others peace and quiet. We do insist on rent being paid on time - and are generally very interested in our property and it's contents being treated with care and respect. However, we are also very sympathetic to our flatmates/tenants privacy.
