About the property

Light and airy second-floor apartment close to buses going along Botany Rd to Mascot/Redfern (309, 2min walk) and from Newtown to Kensington/Randwick (370, less than 10min walk), and about a 10min walk from the Green Square train station. There's also buses nearby going into town right through to Circular Quay.

There's a few nearby supermarkets (IGA, Aldi and Woolies) with the closest being less than a 5min walk away, and there's also plenty of cafes and restaurants in walking distance.

The apartment has air conditioning, a dishwasher, and an internal laundry with dryer, and the block has a nice outdoor common area with a 25m pool. There's also a park with tennis courts just down the road, and Sydney Park is about 20min walk away.

There's an ensuite off my bedroom, so the main bathroom is all yours.

The 55in TV (with chromecast) is great for sports and movie watching, and there's plenty of street parking around if you have a car.

The room currently has furniture in it (double bed, desk, chest of drawers) but I'm happy to move any of it into storage for a flatmate who has their own that they want to use instead.

P.S. The street address is actually in the tiny suburb of Beaconsfield, but since it's the kind of place hardly anyone has heard of (I've lived most of my adult life within 2km of it, and I hadn't before I moved here) I've listed it as being a couple of streets over (in Alexandria). The map circle still covers the actual location though.

About the flatmates

I'm an easygoing IT/Admin worker, cricket and movie fan in his early 40s. When I'm around I'm keen for a chat and to share a meal or to watch some tv or a movie together from time to time if you are, but I have no problem having a flatmate who has other priorities for their spare time. I'm usually out a couple of nights a week at least, and spend some of my spare time going for walks, making bread, and trying to get something in my little balcony garden to survive despite my severe lack of a green thumb.

Now that my long term flatmate (2yrs) has moved out (leaving the country), I'm looking to find someone to share with who has lived in share housing before and respects other people's property and the place we're in. I've got no problem with my flatmate having people (a few friends, their partner) over pretty much whenever they want, although I'm not looking for someone who'd be wanting to frequently have full on parties. Happy to share with someone who's working, or postgrad/mature age students.
