Ideal for artists live/work space.
Available from 28 July 2020, one very large, private room measuring approximately 7.5 x 5m, with ceiling heights of approximately 3m, is available for $430 per week, plus $23 expenses per week, per person. This is a naturally light filled space on the leafy edge of Burwood on Wangle Country. The east and south facing windows are openable and allow for great light particularly in the mornings.
It is an ideal room for artists requiring a live/work space or creative businesses, couples, couples or singles with children. This room is large enough to be turned into a couple of studios and can be customised to suit. Painting walls or putting in curtained or non structural room separators, is also possible.
Close to shops, great food and transport options, the four bedroom house is approximately 20 minutes leisurely walk to Burwood or Croydon train stations, a combination of dedicated bicycle itineraries and direct buses in all directions: to the city, Strathfield, Burwood or Sydney domestic and international airports.
Common areas include a fully functional kitchen, 2 bathrooms (internal and semi-external), laundry and large front and back yards which are the basis for experimental sustainable, native habitat projects and a reading room.
You will be expected to contribute to the cleaning roster, ensure the house is kept clean and participate in engaging with sustainable practices.

Your housemates, including your landlords, are a combination of students, artists and arts professionals. We are keen composters, bicycle riders, gardeners, permaculture enthusiasts aiming to live sustainably and creatively.
We are looking for people who will care, respect and be responsible for the space, its people, non human critters, the natural environment, and all that this encompasses.
Given proximity to public transport and our hope for a more sustainable future, priority will be given to those without private vehicles.
If you are interested in living in a creative place that is experimental, values the natural world and into exploring sustainable living options, please get in touch. Inspections and discussions about what would work best for you(se) is welcome.
